I did my baking today. I made fudge, caramels, peanut butter cups, chocolate lollipops, jam prints, snowballs and toffees, and I didn't eat even ONE PIECE. And it wasn't because I was trying to be good or anything. I just didn't want any. I had a healthy, protein filled breakfast and a healthy, protein filled lunch, and sipped my favorite sugar-free beverage while I baked and I had no desire to put sugar into my body. My husband, who is working from home today, had to try everything for me

I have been putting off the closet project for a couple of years now. My weight has fluctuated so much that I just didn't want to know what I had vs. what I could wear. Today was the day. I had two job interviews this week - for an upgraded position at my company - and I was thrilled to find that I fit back into my nice professional clothes. The last time I was able to wear them I weighed a bit less than I do now, but I think my body is shaped differently than at any other time. I seem to be more compact. Does that make sense? Has anyone else experienced this?

I've found several references to the three week stall. I hit three weeks on Wednesday and I haven't lost an ounce since. In fact, I've put on a pound. I know it can't last - I'm not eating enough to maintain my 238 pound body - but I'm fascinated with how smart my body is. I'm not weak. I'm eating plenty of protein and drinking as much water as I can. What's going on, physiologically?
Dieticians like to talk about putting your body into starvation mode. How is it possible that

So, I'm a bit over two weeks post-op, and I worked my usual hours yesterday and today. I teach math part-time at a local tech college. I teach one class on Thursday mornings - 9 to 1, then another that evening, 5 to 9, then I get up on Friday and teach another section from 9 to 1. During those hours I have to be at 100%, full energy, no sitting down, lots of bending over. And I write on the board a lot, so I am stretching my side constantly. By this afternoon I was SO SORE. I was told that
