I started walking and doing yoga over the break. I will continue with these...and between that and the timing of the stall ending (4 weeks later ) I seem to be dropping weight again.Thank the Lord!!! I was at 52 lbs lost this morning and am motivated so that's a good place to be! I hear 'ya about the forcing yourself to eat healthy....it has been a killer having all the Christmas sweets around. They sure do slide in easily...
Do you do protein drinks? I don't anymore, because I hated them for 4 pre and post op WEEKS....If you do, do they keep you from getting hungry?

Hi Angela, I saw your recent post...I had surgery on 10/19 and am also stalled for the last 3+ weeks at just under 50 lbs lost. Over the holidays, it's difficult especially, since I was giving myself some liberties. I know the stall will end in my head...but in my emotions it's really difficult. I have tried to up my exercise a bit, are you doing any tricks? Hopefully we both can be moving down in the scale soon! Take care! Lori

Awesome! Thanks for asking! I hit 81 pounds lost yesterday, and I finally starting to see results I want in the mirror...

How has your journey been? I would hope you've been a stranger because life has just been soo great since the surgery. Where do you stand? Any great stories about clothe sizes or other NSV's (Non Scale Victories)? I finally need to buy all new jeans, even my skinny jeans that I didn't throw out from 5 years ago are too big....

Did you buy that stick yet? The one you're gonna need to beat back all the guys chasing you? ;P

Well I was 334 when I began my 2 week Pre op diet. Haven't been on the scale in 2 weeks when I had my 2nd follow up appointment. I weighed in at 304. So about 30 pounds total. I seriously can eat. This morning I had a protien shake with 10 ounces of ski
Milk. Lunch I had a slice of pizza. Dinner I had a slice of toasted whole grain bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter. And then the insides of a medium baked potatoe. I am struggling with not drinking anything right after I eat. I feel like its next to impossible or my mouth is incredible dry and uncomfortable.

Im not measuring my food. But I'm eyeballing everything. I just wish I would get that full feeling where I really has to stop eating. If I eat 6oz I am hungry again 2 hours later.

42 lbs is great! When was your surgery again? Mine was 10/27. I remember u saying u were 2 weeks ahead of me.

Ok. Movie time and bed. Stay in touch. Oh, and I thought their nutritionist sucked when I met with her.

    Hi Angie,
Just wanted to see how you are doing? I don't think they took enough of my stomach out. I don't get full on 4 ounces - even on solids. I think something is seriously wrong here!!!

Whatever your costume is, I'm gonna just pretend it's a naughty nurse! ;P

No problem...that smile of yours lights up a room for sure, I couldn't resist!

If you are going shopping, look for a sale on Chobati Greek yogurt...like 14g of protein and half the carbs of regular yogurt. It's thicker than regular yogurt but not as sour - more bland. Get the Chobati fruit flavors they rock and are the perfect size for a good satisfying meal. I love strawberry and pineapple, but they have like 8 flavors - give them a try. Also, cold cuts are lean sources of protein as well. Buy 1/4 pound of ham and turkey with a cheese (like maybe swiss) and make roll ups without bread. One roll ups with 2 slices of meat and one cheese is like 20g of protein and 1 or 2 makes a meal.

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling good. i met with dr. ewing once and i knew e was the right doc for me of all of them in the practice. I feel like i needed to stay on top of my surgical coordinator to make sure that all of my paperwork was getting submitted on time, but i am also a very organized person that tends to be on top of that kinds of stuff anyway.

I am having the surgery at hackensack. Im scheduled for 10am thursday morning. I have a feeling i will be in the hospital until saturday for some odd reason. What does it feel like afterwards? physically and also the eating piece. I am a smoker and I am stopping tomorrow so atleast I am smoke free 2 weeks before the surgery. i know its in my best interest not to smoke after the surgery for healing purposes. That is the one ting i wish ewing would have told me during my consultation. I had to learn that on my own through research.

i hope to continue chatting. Congrats on your 21lb loss. it must be a great achievement for you. if you have any other suggestions or recommendaitons, i am all ears!
