Doing good here too! I cant believe its almost been a month.. I have hit a bit of a plateu and hoping it passes soon!

So, I had my surgery on Tuesday! I am on my second night in the hospital. I had to stay an extra night due to nausea and vomiting. My swallow study showed no leaks (yay!) but severe reflux. Overall, I would have to say the worst part, which I didn't even know was a problem, is all the hiccuping! That's what lead to dry heaving, and pain at surgery site. I've had the band before, and the gas pain isn't near as bad as it was with that surgery! Good luck to you, I think you will be very happy with the experience!

Hi Lynn. Yes, I 17 days into the liquid protein diet and my surgery is this Friday. I am also a patient of Dr. David Kim in Colleyville. I live in Ft. Worth but my surgery is being done in Decatur. Very excited! Good luck with your diet and same to your husband. We will all have to stay in touch for accountability and celebration!

Hey, just stopping in to say hi to a fellow Texan. I live in NE TX and start my preop diet tomorrow...YUCK. I see you are well into yours and enjoying every delishious shake, LOL. I have to do two weeks of five shakes a day. I am using Dr Kim in Dallas. My husband is having the same surgery 2 weeks after me. What area do you live in? Hope all goes well and I look forward to seeing you on the loosers bench.
