  1. Michael,
Would love to hear how you're doing. Have to say I am definitely not watching the surgery--I fainted when I had my ears pierced!
Really appreciate your suggestions. Watched some of the YouTube testimonials yesterday. Amazing.

Thank you Michael. The support really helps! How are you feeling now? Are you having any buyers remorse? Hoping not

    Hey Dale and GeGe,

I was in the same boat as you guys just a little over a week ago. I must say there were a few things that helped calm my nerves before surgery. Firstly- this website helped A Lot! I feel as if I have been a part of many people’s journey's and opening up about it really helps! Another major thing that helped me was watching people’s before and after stories on YouTube sharing there experiences. Finally the last thing that really helped calm my nerves was watching the actual surgery from start to finish online. Sounds crazy right!!?? But it was extremely calming and surprisingly cool! If you have any questions or need any advice feel free to message me at any time! Wishing you the best of luck with your surgeries and am congratulating you guys for the start of your amazing journey.

    All the best,
    Michael

Hi! I just saw this. I am not the best with these things. That actually really helped. Knowing that someone shares my feelings means we are NORMAL. Yay! So here's the new perspective, we have done all of this work to get here and we can do this absolutely. We are just DAYS away from the life we have dreamed of. My two adult children know and if it helps, have been very supportive. Yours will be too. I don't know about you but I've done everything imaginable for them because I love them so. I am finally doing something for just me about just me and you are too. They will be so proud of you! This is big and we are brave. I have about 140 lbs. to lose so the stakes are high for me. We Can Do This!-on repeat til surgery-deal????
  5. Hey Gege,
I hope I'm doing this messaging correct.... YES!! I flew home thru the night and I couldn't sleep bc I started having all these same thoughts. I started thinking that if I just kept up the pre-op diet I could lose the weight without surgery. (As if I haven't tried to do that same thing for years & years.) Also, I haven't told my two adult children but they will be home for Thanksgiving in the first week post-op and if anything happens they will be so upset that I didn't tell them. Plus I have always had an "iron stomach" and could eat anything without upset so I have lots of fear about missing my favorite foods and becoming a picky eater and a general pain to have around. And for some reason, I really fear that long term constipation. That sounds so awful.
Sorry...you asked for wisdom and all I can say is I feel the same way. Even wondered how long before surgery I'd have to cancel without being charged.
And yet the thought of not dealing with this fat body really does give me hope for the future. I have to hold on to the fact that I have really studied the alternatives and rationally believe this is the best option.
    How are you feeling, btw?
Also, my name is Dale. I signed up and just used my initials which was not the best idea but I couldn't figure out how to change it.
Great to have someone who shares my feelings. We can do it!

    hi!
I'm starting to get the coldest of cold feet... Any chance you are feeling scared too? I'm worried about being hungry the rest of my life like I am right now on pre-op. Always feeling like I can't have any food and stricture, bowel obstruction and what the future will bring...Any words of wisdom here??? Thanks!
