I have hit a plateau since week 1 and I am only 3 weeks out. I keep going up and down one pound only. It's so frustrating. I had my cycle 2x this month and I have ovulation and PMS symptoms at the same time. I think my body needs to work things out hormonally before it let's me drop another pound. But on the plus side my wedding rings and shoes are looser so I guess it's some movement. I didn't do before measurements but I might do them today as another measurement. I keep hoping the plateau will keep my skin from sagging as it adjusts more slowly. Trying to keep hope.

On pureed foods my nutritionist said I could eat any foods as long as I pureed them up. Honestly, the pureed food stage did not last long enough for me to put any effort into it. I mostly ate Oikos Triple zero yogurt, creamed soups, laughing cow cheese wedges (they are soft), cooked meats pureed up, chicken or tuna salad. Then when I moved to real food I focused on meat first and then veggies if I had any room. Now I will say that I have never really tracked anything. I would kind of tally protein up in my head for the day and how much fluids but I didn't write it down or measure. I have never counted my calories, either. I just ate right and listened to my body telling me when to stop and when I needed more. I know some people are religious about tracking and others not at all. I can't drive myself nuts with that. I am a daily weigher. I also exercise. I did a lot in the beginning and then had to stop for a while since I had a vitamin D deficiency and my hips started to hurt. I stopped for a few months and then started walking again in July and by the end of July I started running. Now I can run 6 miles straight with no problems. I do take 12,000 iu of vitamin D3 daily. One thing I have been good about is daily vitamins. So truthfully, we all find what works for us. I think some people need the rigid structure to maintain control but I know too much structure will make me get an eating disorder again. I used to be bulimic in my early 20's.

That first stall is a pain. You feel upset like you have somehow failed. Don't sweat it. Stay the course and you will start losing again. Are you taking progress pictures and measurements? It is what helped me when I stalled is seeing the progress. I highly recommend it. Just focus on getting in enough protein and fluids for now. And as long as you are well enough, get moving. Walking goes a long way. More if you can handle it. The more you move the better your body will respond. Cardio and once cleared by your doctor strength training.
