Thats a shame, gym is best then I suppose. I've been going religiously so it better be working.

    Hello hun.x

    Thanks.x

We've lost the same! Although i'm not signed off frm my surgeon, i'm going back to see him in sept. It's sooo cool being thin isn't it!?
How's the laser lipo going? Did it work?

    Cowabunga lady! You look AWESOME!

That sounds really interesting, i'll keep it in mind when the gym can't help with my wobbly bits anymore. You'll have to keep me updated on how it's going.x
  7. Laser lipo is done at a beauty salon. Mine costs about £50 a visit so I suppose the course of 6 is £300. You have little boxes strapped over the fat bit you want reduced and just lie there while the laser does it's thing. The theory is it 'melts' the fat from the fat cells and you pee out the residue via the bolld stream. You have to drink loads of water and no coffee afterwards.

They claim all sorts of inch loss but for me the improvement is a visible toning up of tummy flab

    Hello you.xxxxx
    Congrats on getting to onederland!!!!

I've been stuck on 161 for nearly 2 months now despite going to the gym religiously, but my boyfriend says that it's noticeable that i'm toning up so i think my fats turning to muscle. I'm not up for running tho so go you, you're braver than me that's for sure.
What's laser lipe? What does that do? Is it expensive?

Hmmmm uploading photos was a right pain in the arse!! It took me a couple of hours and several times of uploading to get the hang of it. When you first upload a pic it should go in the top box and duplicate in the bottom one also. If they don't duplicate on their own i don't know how it works as it wouldn't let me drag them either. Also i had to do them one at a time as if you do too many at once it misses some out. Sorry i can't be much more help. :/

    Hello you.x

Lol re your jeans! It'll give you a chance to practice some come hither poses.
Good for you on nearly reaching onederland!! I saw my dietician last month she told me i'm now out of the over weight category, i'm just normal now...lol.. i told her i still need to lose a couple of stone but she said if i was to stop losing now i would be fine...i'm gonna carry on and try to lose another couple me thinks.
I'm glad to hear your hairloss has stopped, i think mine has too, i'm going by my eyelashes as they're getting a bit thicker after being very sparse this last four months. I can't tell by my hair anymore as it's so short i don't notice if any falls out. I can't stomach the protein shakes but Atkins do some that have 15gs of protein in them that are quite nice, you can get them in Tescos.
Do tell about your very nice valentines day.

    Hiya.x

Thanks hun, it was taken on xmas day, i was feeling really good that day, i'd just got into a skirt i'd bought 5 years ago and it i hadn't fit at the time, i was well chuffed!
Nooooo not at my target weight yet but almost, i'd like to get to 9 stone but i'd be happy if i got to 10. I'm 11 stone 12lbs now and it's still coming off so i'm happy.
Glad your still losing, is everything going well? My hairs been falling out for about 2 months now and my nails have gone really weak too. I saw my surgeon just after xmas and he said to take hair skin and nail supplements, i'm already taking them so he said to up my protein to 65gs. Are you taking any hair supplements? Boots do their own brand which are a fiver for a months worth.
Even though my surgeon told me to up my protein i still haven't as i can't drink those protein powders, they're vile! Although Tescos sell some Atkins protein shakes in their diet supplement section, the coffee one is vile but the choc one is ok, only 15gs of protein but it all adds up. I'm looking into getting some of those protein shots that are about, i'll let you know how i go with them if you like.
I think we all need protein it's just the Americans get told to have more then we do. My surgeon said 65gs a day, i think in America they have to have 90gs, poor buggers! I can't even stomach half of our amount. :/

    Hiya.x

Glad things are going well for you. I was told the same thing before my op, that you only lose 80% of your excess bodyweight. I've yet to start exercising, i figure that when the weight stops moving on its own then i'll give it a push.

I no longer have any smaller clothes, i'm having to buy some now. The local charity shops are loving me and all my donations. I've not really been taking pics of me since i've lost weight, family members have managed to get a few but i don't like my pic taken so they are few and far between.

My arms have awful bingo wings but the rest of me seems to be going back to normal, especially my tummy. There's going to be a bit of saggy skin there but not much so i'm really pleased about that. I'm not too fussed about the saggy skin though as my boyfriend is paying for me to have it removed when i've lost all my weigth, i'm hoping i don't need a boob job. :/
  13. Hello again

Still making progress. It seems to be a steady 2 lbs a week. My surgeon put the wind up me though. At my 8 week check up he said that what you dont loose in the first 6 months you probably wont loose at all. Well if things continue at this pace I would get to within 2 and a half stone of my original goal which would be fine but just not what I had had in mind. I have started exercising properly now. I have splashed out on a personal trainer to get me started as I haven't done any proper execise for 15 years! Surprisingly it's going OK........

I am loving getting back into clothes I haven't worn in years (even if they are out of fashion!) I never threw anything away so, with luck, I wont have to buy anything until I pretty much stabilise. All my larger friends absolutely love me but need to buy bigger wardrobes.

Have you been keeping a photographic record of your shrinkage? I was looking at my worst before picture yesterday. Now it was a rotten picture of me but even so I am now unrecognisable - good feeling.

Skin sagging more evry day - only real downside to this..........

    Hi hun,

How are things going? Hope you're well.x

You've lost three stone!!! Congrats hun.xxx The same as me,

Chicken is a hard meat to eat, it gets stuck quite good unless it's in loads of gravy etc. I'm loving cauli flower cheese at the mo, i have a tbl spoon of it with my roast, tescos do a frozen one in a bag, very nummy. I'm also loving fish pies surprisingly as i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole normaly. Tescos do a nice kids range of fresh ready meals which i buy alot of, very handy to freeze and eat when i'm not cooking or the others are having something i can't.

I'm glad you're doing well hun, keep me posted.x

A week to go

by aneleh on 08-17-2011 at 06:49 AM
Just returned from my pre-op appointment. It finally feels real. The usual drama to get blood out of me. Two nurses and a doctor before success!

I have started feeling a bit light headed from the pre op diet but no sign of breaking it. Thankyou for all the welcome messages - what a firendly lot you are.
