Wowza!! 40 lbs is great!!

How are you feeling Gwen? I haven't seen you around in a while.

Gwen, glad to read you are feeling better. I am Latina with thick coarse hair usually, but after surgery it started to thin out at about 3 months. I think I made it worst by getting highlights, I kept cutting about an inch every month to help manage damage thin and brittle ends. I am huge advocate of supplements and took collagen and biotin regularly preop, religiously about a month pre surgery and after. I also did Oil scalp hair masks, and my hair still took a beating. It has to be genetics for me, I think.

I got a super short hair cut back in April, and my hair is growing faster than it did past few months. Go figure!

Consult with your hairdresser, but my recommendation to anyone is to avoid any chemical processing at least the first year. But. It is easier said than done.

HEY Y'ALL!!!�� Its been 3 wks.now since I have posted. I feel a lil better each passing day trying to stay positive. I'm only leary cause I've always been big. But anyways I hope EVERYONE is doing well and thanks for all the support and encouragement you guys are the best. Also,I have a question: when is it safe for me to get a relaxer and did everyone lose their hair? If not please let me know? ��

hmmm...is it me or does any one else feels the same or have felt this way. like Im so addicted to food to where it is FRIGHTENING?!!? Im afraid of me and my desires to cook and eat that down home Louisiana Southern Soul Food.
