How are you feeling?
Thanks for all the info. It's very helpful. I'm looking forward to the surgery now more than I was before. I'm very curious what life will be like in a few days.
Chris, I'll try to describe the sensation that felt alarming at early food stages post-op to the best of my ability. When I started eating solids like tuna salad on bread and ate too much there was a sensation of not able to breath. Basically I learned that two or three bites of any type of toast would do that to me. Also, minced meats like chicken or tuna or chopped beef would give a sensation of fullness in my chest. I only get a sensation now if I eat rice and that is about a 1/2 - 1 cup maybe less. I can eat 1 cup of oatmeal or 1 cup of yogurt and it won't happen. I was on vacation earlier in the month and I was only able to eat half of a sweat bread or "pan dulce" with a cup of coffee, when I tried to finish it I got a pain in my chest and the same pain happened when I had eaten half of a Guatemalan tamal. The sensation is not as pronounced as before, maybe because I serve myself smaller portions or I stop eating after a few bites for respite. I have only thrown up once and weird enough it was because I drank water too fast with my meal... it's the only rule I don't follow still. I cannot not have a sip of water with my meals. NSV are "non scale victories" for me has been having have gone from size 18/20 to 10/12, to be able to sit on a airplane or roller coaster seat without worries. Hope that answered your questions. Best wishes.
