I also think that stressing over it too much can stall you. So I try to have a nonchalant attitude about the weight loss. And losing 1-2 lbs a week is nothing to sneeze at! I can tell you I would never have been able to maintain such a steady weight loss pre sleeve. So I enjoy every little victory!

That is great! I can tell you that I am losing at a slow and steady 1-2 lbs a week and I am completely fine with that. I eat any meat and veggies. I also like to make meat sauce and put it over spaghetti squash. I eat what my family eats. If we have beef fajitas I eat the meat, veggies, and cheese and just no tortilla. I don't count calories, fat, or anything really. I try to kinda tally my protein in my head. So I eat any meats we make and then make sure I have some veggies. I like crockpot stews, roasts, baked chicken, shrimp, fish...I eat it all. I have had no issues eating anything (besides too much or too fast). If I am feeling lazy or my family gets fast food, I have a shake or an Oikos triple zero Greek yogurt. I always have sugar free popsicles when I want something sweet. And occasionally I indulge in a bite of something I shouldn't because I know it is occasional and it is a bite...not a full serving. Sorry I am not more helpful but I really don't eat different other than cutting out most of the carbs.

Sending it to you now. Good luck on your surgery!!! You got this! Remember sip constantly and walk as much as comfortably possible. Don't lay around too much. For me, it was easier to drink warm liquids. Broth, creamed soups made with skim milk, tea. You may be different. Everyone reacts differently to surgery. Any issues you have post op, reach out to the forum because odds are you will find someone who has dealt with that issue. Rock that new sleeve!

For vitamins I take a Bariatric Advantage multi vitamin, a Bariatric Advantage calcium chew, 10,000 mcg Biotin, and a stool softener daily. I also take B12 twice a day. My goal is 80 g protein and 64 oz water. I do not count my carbs but I am low carb. I eat just meat and veggies. No fruit and no breads right now. Once in a blue moon I allow myself a cheat bite of some kind of carbs but not on a regular basis. My favorite proteins are tuna, shrimp (I know it bothers some people but not me), and lean stew meat. I eat any kind of veg with no problems. If you pm me your email I will send you the paperwork my surgeon's office gave me on nutrition and how to eat. It is very helpful because it even has the amount of protein in common foods. I do always keep Atkins lift low carb peanut butter chocolate protein bars in my purse because after this surgery the worst thing you can do is find yourself in a pinch without something suitable to eat.
