  1. I'm doing great. Down 29lbs. Feeling fine. We are all doing good. They had theirs over a year ago so they are in the maintenance stage. How are you?
  2. Hi how are you? Still trying to get my private messaging to turn on. Curious did you need your passport? And I seen you said you and like 10 others in your office all had the sleeve how are you doing? How's the coworkers? We're u able to get rte back to work?
  3. Tmarie- you're not alone living paycheck to paycheck lol. It was alot easier getting back in the swing of things then I thought. Just sip and walk as much as possible to build yourself back up and take vitamins like B12 you will experience fatigue
  4. Congratulations I was really concerned I'd feel a wreck after my surgery so you've been very very helpful it's my life cause I must get back to my normal work schedule like asap after my surgery. I literally live check to check so I can't be all out of it
  5. I'm feeling pretty ok. waiting to board my plane so I can get back to my routine lol but all and all so happy with my decision thus far

    Hey,

    How are you feeling?
  7. Sounds goodles happy to hear how long were you in surgery?
  8. Doesn't feel like a big surgery to me but the sutures seem where the most pain is but it's not bad. Legs feel fine. Not really hungry. Got dry mouth yesterday while walking around the markets but all in all good
  9. Glad to hear your feeling good btw just really interested how it all works step by step especially you gosh you literally just had it to done GO YOU! I CAN'T WAIT TILL I DO IT TOO!
  10. Does it feel like you had a big surgery inside your stomach
Or I heard it feels like cramps kind of? A lot people say walk walk walk. Does your legs feel wobbly or are you kind of bed ridden still? Any dry mouth or hunger yet?
  11. Moving around isn't easy at all for me. I relay on those stomach muscles alot and this drain tube and pouch gets in the way but all in all not to bad, moving slower and being easy on my stomach as much as possible
  12. How are you feeling now any tightness in the stomach pain in the outside of the belly?
  13. Well it's like everyone says the more you walk the better you feel sorta. Lol I'm doing ok spirits high . I do believe the more you walk after surgery the better you feel the next day. However they tried to give me pain meds to close together so I started keeping my own record of what I'm doing and getting.
  14. How Are you feeling Thats awesome!
  15. Xtalbling - you still here somewhere lol

Phase 2

by Itsmylife2016 on 08-13-2016 at 04:15 PM
So after walking around 2 hours we all did fine. Walking helps aid your fluids in becoming clear. They gave us another round of meds fluids that night and we went to sleep.

Next morning we showered got new bandages and went for our leak test. Nasty absolutely nasty. Not gonna lie. The first purple drink tastes like metal. And as long as it's not purple in the drain you're good. Then they drive you to a radiologist and make you take 2 shots of the barium. It's doable but it's not

Well I did it and here's how it went....phase 1

by Itsmylife2016 on 08-10-2016 at 08:36 PM
So I packed more then I should have but I was thinking I'd rather be prepared. But really clothes, gas x strips, hygiene products , extra medical tape, and a coloring book is all I have used. Might want comfy shoes I walked around in flip flops kinda sacked but I made it.

San Diego airport is small, very easy to find where you need to go. Got picked up, 30 or so minute ride straight to hospital for preoperative tests, took about 40 minutes for 2 of us. They give you everything you

At the airport

by Itsmylife2016 on 08-08-2016 at 06:29 AM
Well I'm here and there's no turning back. While I have time sitting waiting to board I'll write about my progress. I was given a 5 day preop but did a 7 day. Which I will say has not been pleasant. I was addicted to food and most of all sugars. Fried foods, Mexican foods, Chocolate candy ice cream were on my weekly food menu. And then poof no more. And that's when the horrible headaches started. And on the 6th day yesterday I just couldn't eat well drink anything and keep it down. Was not pleasant.

Waiting Game

by Itsmylife2016 on 07-10-2016 at 06:31 PM
This waiting game is killing me lol All I can talk about is surgery and honestly nobody around me cares hahaha. I have done all the documents, bought my plan ticket, arranged the rides to and from the airport. I bought new PJ's and a robe to be comfy in while I'm on vacation. I buy small stuff here and there to get ready for this lifestyle change. Heck I'm dang near packed and out the door, this 30 or so days need to come. However I find myself eating whatever I want with the excuse of this surgery

A little about me....

by Itsmylife2016 on 06-30-2016 at 07:18 PM
I'm 28 and overweight. I made the decision about a month ago to make this lifestyle change. I have never been by any means skinny nor do I think I want to be but healthy and thinner are where my goals are.

My background is a first responder/Firefighter/medic which kept me in decent shape/active, however in 2010 I made the decision to get into the construction industry to help pay my way through college.. Well I continued to excel and move up in the industry and dropped college to
