Hello All..

I am 3 weeks post-op and been having excruciating knife stabbing or pulling tearing like pains in my left side where the majority of incisions are. When I saw my doc for my 2 week she said it was normal as the muscles are healing.

The pain is so bad that it has brought me to tears a few times.
Usually happens when I am laying down sleeping and try to change sleep positions or if I move or bend wrong during the day.

Anyone else experience

One week post op
Feeling great down 9 pounds
Still very swollen though
No longer taking my pain meds
Craving foods though
Excercising - walking
Doing everything as supposed to do.
I sucked on a lays chip.. yep you read that right.. then I spit it out.
I had a weak moment.
Still on full liquids for another day then on to purée foods.

Hello All!

Getting myself together and wanted to know if anyone had any tidbits of things I should bring.. like someone told me lip balm would be a lifesaver.
And is there anything I should know..or expect.

Any feedback, tidbits, suggestions would be appreciated.

I am active going to the gym 2-4 times a week getting cardio up and weights in.
Looking for advice as my surgery approaches.
