Hi Crisps, does your country allow ebooks such as Kindle? If so, look up Dave Asprey, Bulletproof Intermittent Fasting. I recommend you read it through, also his website has really good information.
  2. Hi again, well thankfully the barium meal didn't show anything untoward with the sleeve, waiting to see surgeon again in March, I also experimented with chocolate, HUGE MISTAKE, that sugar rush is the worst and best, I have had a mini wrap since I last wrote and was a little sweaty about 10 mins after and not for too long, I get your point about fruit, I will now avoid as well, when I eat meat and veg I can manage so little before feeling very full, I sometimes wonder how I am still alive,I think as a human we need far less food than we think to live, I was thinking of maybe posting some pics BIT worried people may see me who I know,. I almost feel ashamed to say in an a secret sleever, very few people know I had the op, not for any introversion than I was sorrow it would fail and be judged even more harshly than before, I do hope you continue to do well. K x

yep, I can relate to the needing a counselor. I think about food NON. FREAKIN. STOP!!! It's so annoying.

I avoid fruit mostly because it's high in sugar/calories/carbs. The anti-weight loss trifecta. Some are better than others, of course. I actually have some blueberries here at work....thanks for the reminder!

I'm adding stuff back into my diet. Ate a tortilla with 3 net carbs today. I need to take a step a back, though, cause I gulped down a fistful of cranberry-pistachio bread yesterday with my old doggie without even thinking about it. "mindless eating".

Still haven't had a chip, though, because I know I still won't have any control. I've experimented with chocolate, and that's another item, I really need to stay away from.

    Still no pasta/rice/potatoes, though.

wonder what's going on with your tummy? that's weird...
  4. Sorry not been on again for a while, not been so great, very sad as I sailed through everything untill very recently, now I can eat very little at all, definitely no red meat, pasta I do t miss anyway, bread is still a big no for me, it feels like a brick I I even eat 1/4 slice, I have now lost 112lbs since surgery, I know the whole point is to lose weight BUT it does seem like an awful lit to lose, seen my surgeon and booked in next Friday for a barium meal to see if anything is going on with the sleeve, maybe I am meant to lose all this weight, lordy I sound moany and ungrateful, I'm not at all, I still feel like me as well and still pick up bigger sizes than I need to get, then I remember I don't need them any more, I have been fairly lucky with clothes and lots of people have given me stuff, biggest expense has been underwear, seems every other week my knickers are too big. I hope you are well and doing ok

Hey! Thanks for the note! 100 lbs! Wow! You're doing amazingly!

I'm fine...still feel like me, though. I haven't bought many clothes other than scrubs for work and I'm a large in scrubs. It's weird, at some angles, I see myself thin, but at others, I still see fat...lol. I don't know how to explain it.

Anyway, I can eat way more, but still work to get 1000-1100 cals/day. Staying away from carbs and fruit like the plaque!

So good to hear from you!

  8. Well here I am 10 days to go, been on my soupmand yogurt for 2 days now, actually today I have struggled to eat what I am supposed to, 1200 mls of soup and 800 grammes of yogurt, started drinking water more as I don't want to use all my milk up, ANYWAY, my big piece of news is that according to my scales I have lost 6lb in 2 days, never owned scales before, I knew I was fat, is this really possible, all the diets I have ever done and no more than 1 or 2lbs in a week, whats going on here, but I do get the whole this is not about weight loss its liver reduction, I am still a little bit ever so pleased with myself and I do know it won't continue along that vein for long, so surgery is a week on Saturday, I am so excited about it all, not sure how much hubby support I have at the moment, he is pretty pissed off with me right now, our eldest daughter gave me a big hug and said bye bye to my tummy before she went back to Uni, I am just so happy, my last meal so to speak was Nandos, I thought I would pip out all day on Monday but I didnt at all,

by Crisps on 07-31-2016 at 02:59 AM
Well here I am 12 wks post surgery, over 60lbs gone( YEAH) well I had a hug try on session yesterday and I am into all my smallest clothes I have in my wardrobe, I can not tell you how happy that makes me, by the end of Sept I will need to go shopping, the biggest surprise has been my knickers, when I hold them up they look enormous, I am still wearing them but they are folded over at the top and so look baggy, I am shopping today for new ones, they will be 3 sizes smaller than the old ones, no

by Crisps on 07-20-2016 at 06:18 PM
Hi everyone, 10wks, where have they gone but it also does like a life time ago, I am now totally 100% recovered from op and doing so well it is scary, I still have bad days where I don't eat enough of drink enough, I am worried about protein so just ordered some shake mixes, my hair is thinning and I don't want it to get any worse.
WELL my health is great, I am now off the methatrexate and hydroxychloraquin, I am down to 2 pain killers a day, not even sure I need them I will try without

Too much

by Crisps on 06-11-2016 at 04:20 AM
Well yesterday I kept up the fluids and followed my plan an all is well with me and the world.
I wish you all knew my local area to appreciate how much walking happened yesterday, 6 wks ago I could not walk 300 yards to the end of my road, I also broke my ankle in Jan this year.
I now realise how stupid I was as I walked over 12 miles in total, I am soooooo paying the price today, my right ankle is so swollen and painful, I am having a bit of a Lupus crisis and can't take my usual
