Thanks for the well wishes. Unfortunately, I had to find another surgeon due to some insurance issues. My new date is 11/23/16. I feel like I've been jumping through hoops, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

Glad to hear from you! Wow! That is great! 40 lbs is great! So happy to know you are making out well. I'm most nervous about after the sleeve. You can read some horror stories, but I know a handful of people that had the sleeve or bypass and all of them did fine, so I know I will too!

I know what you mean about work and life. I work full time with a husband and 2 very active kids. Between work, school and practices/games, we are always on the go.

I am still 4 months out and it can't get here fast enough. My last visit with Dr. Sofronski I had gained 7 lbs, so that was disappointing. My BMI is right at 40 and I need to stay there so it's been hard because I know I should be trying to eat better but I'm so afraid to lose any because I need to stay at 40 to stay qualified for my insurance. So my goal this month is to lose the 7 lbs.

Hey there, I have not been on this site in awhile. I have crazy busy with work and life. Just wanted to check in on you and see how things were going. I have been doing really well. I am super happy with my sleeve. I am down 40 pounds and have noticed a huge difference in daily activities like going up and down steps and bending over to tie my toes and others. Anyway I hope you are doing well and staying on track.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am happy for you that are taking a big step to changing your life for the better. I love Dr. Sofronski! He is unconventional and amazing. He listens to your concerns and sometimes preaches a little, but it's ok with me. I am very happy with my new sleeve, it takes some getting use to but then again I'm only 8 days post-op. My follow up appointment is with him today and I am super excited. Good Luck on your journey. I am here for support if you need me.
