Hi Sunshines4u2!! I had my surgery last Monday, April 25, with Dr. Hernandez with Tijuana Bariatrics. I had lots of trouble sleeping there too. After surgery in the hospital, it was very hard to sleep..it was so busy with lots of people coming and going, plus the discomfort of the gas, and knowledge that you need to get up and walk. But I had a hard time sleeping the whole time I was in Mexico. Part of what made it hard to sleep, for me, was staying conscious of not rolling over on the drain.
  6. Yes I did I had my surgery this past afternoon ..... It's 3 AM and I still have not gone to sleep. A bit uncomfortable from gas pains. I have to keep getting up to walk it off, it makes you feel better.

Did you make it to Tj today?
  8. Sorry to hear your trip there was a nightmare....I hate flying and airports! Yes, I fly into Dallas on my way there and Phoenix on the way home. I only have 45 min layover to get to the other flight. Thanks for the shoe tip. I bet you were starving..... Good luck with your surgery today - I will keep you in my prayers! Let me know how you are feeling.

I arrived in Tijuana today. What a miserable trip. I bet i walked 10 miles. Had only juice and water during the trip. Do you fly into Dallas to change plains? That airport is a nightmare. Wear comfortable shoes. See you here, have a safe trip.

I started packing today. I'm on day 2 of the pre op diet and I'm starving. I was sent a list of things to pack. Bullion cubes were suggested for the trip home. I'm also taking some herbal tea. What part of Fl are you in? I plan on taking my computer so I will try to let you know what to expect. Hope to see you in Mexico.

To all the Mexico Sleevers.....

by Sunshines4u2 on 02-04-2016 at 09:07 PM
I have my surgery planned with Dr Almanza in two weeks. I really think I want to have my gall bladder out at the same time & it's another $1000 (which I really don't have right now). I am thinking of changing to a less expensive doctor so I can do the two procedures. What are your thoughts..... who has used the $3500 doctors in Mexico (I am signed up with WeightLossAgents) and was the procedures and results just as good?

Gall Bladder?

by Sunshines4u2 on 01-31-2016 at 08:29 AM
I have decided to go to Mexico for my gastric sleeve… This is a little scary for me. When I called to reserve my date they asked me if I wanted to have my gallbladder removed… I wasn't prepared for the question. What exactly does the gallbladder have to do with this procedure? I do not have health insurance so should I take advantage of getting my gallbladder removed for $1,000? Do I need a gallbladder? I have to research this because I really didn't have an answer…
