- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I am a 42 year old female. I am 5ft 9in. in height. I got the lap band in 2010. The band leaked, I then had a port revision and this didn't solve the problem. On October 22, 2015, I had the gastric sleeve.
My 21 year old daughter is the only person that knows that I've had any of these surgeries, so I am seeking online companionship to fill the void of talking to someone about my feelings concerning going through this process. I feel alone and disconnected. Again, my daughter is a 21 year old college student... she's not interested... not even a little bit. lol!

I got a wonderful surprise today. My gastric sleeve surgery came through for me!

Oh my goodness guys! I woke up in a size 10! I don't know how this happened! I've been working out lately and watching what I ate, how much I ate and... I don't know! I have clothes in my closet that range from a size 9 to a size 24. I was running late and grabbed a pair of slacks off the shelf and put them on without giving it a second thought. I went to work and never felt uncomfortable once... not even after lunch (which was only watermelon lol!) Anyway, I got home, took my clothes off as usual...
Feeling like I made the biggest mistake to-date by getting the gastric sleeve surgery...

Where do I start? I am so over this sleeve thing! I feel like I have trapped myself in a box. I feel like screaming in pure self-hatred right now! I mean, why would I do this to myself? Why do I keep doing this stuff like this to my body? I gained weight, had the lapband, had a port revision, had the band removed and then had another major surgery... the gastric sleeve! ALL BECAUSE I WOULDN'T PUT THE DAMN FORK DOWN! I must be crazy or going crazy! I hate myself right now and I hate my life! I have
