  1. Part I: I had my surgery on 22 Sep; I arrived at Terminal 2 at San Diego airport....remember the Zone F is in Terminal 1 - and yep, it is quite a walk from Terminal 2. Just call the number when you get to Zone F, this gives everyone in the van group enough time to walk all the way there. Met our driver, Pedro - great driver and very friendly. The hotel is about an hour from the airport, especially since you will need to cross the border - and that will take extra time. So sit back and relax - but don't take any pictures while at the border- it is frowned upon....found that out the hard way.

Arrived at hotel, got all checked in.....the hotel staff were amazing, sitting in the restaurant looking at a menu...yeah, I know right? Anyway, the waiter Pedro (very nice gentlemen) saw my quandary and asked if I was a patient, and when I said yes - he knew exactly what I could have for "dinner". He brought me a bowl of chicken broth and a bottle of water. No need for peso's, but I did tip him...the exchange rate was $1 = $16 peso. Glad I brought extra $1 bills.

Sample Menus for Pureed and Soft Foods

by USNAVET on 11-02-2015 at 12:08 PM
I found this on a website and I noticed that I wasn't eating my protein in the correct order to have the maximum weight-loss.

I saved the information to a pdf, as it is just too much to edit for the blog.

Feel free to open the attachment: 2-pages.

Phase 2: Pureed Diet for Bariatric Surgery Patients
Phase 3: Soft Food Diet for Bariatric Surgery Patients

The menus make more sense, as it has measurements and a guideline.
