I hope you can get everything squared away with your house I'll be happy for this month break before diving into school even more so than I have been. Oh yes I just worked with my boss for the first time in a month or so and she's annoyed with me still that I only work 17 hours a week. I don't care that she's annoyed. Bettering myself for my future and my son's future is SO much more important than playing waitress at a retirement home. I know I'll end up quitting my job to focus solely on school once my classes switch from 4 hours a day to 8 hours a day Monday through Friday.

I'm going to take my last pre-algebra test tomorrow and that'll be that until June 20th. I'm going to be taking a 15 month RN program at Concorde Career College to get my Associates degree. I can't live off of $10 a hour here in Colorado whereas I could in NY where I lived. Who knew?! How's your schooling going?? Oh and Happy Mother's Day!

That's great! I was wondering how the move went I'm loving it here in Colorado. The weather is generally much better than NY and certainly the scenery is

Hey How are you?? Its been awhile since I have been on here..Well my complaint now is my hair loss and saggy skin..but oh well. I am feeling way better, more energy looking and feeling better..

Aww thank you! I threw away my biggest pair of jeans about a month ago and wish I would have saved them so I could see the difference from a size 28 pair of jeans compared to what I'll become. Currently I think I'm a size 22 or 20. I don't mind having my picture taken. I thought I was pretty darn well, pretty even at 355 pounds. But now I feel sad looking at old pictures of myself. But I don't have to be that size ever again, so that always makes me very happy!

Hi! I am doing well..I've been working out more consistent now and seeing my hard work pay off..how are you?

Thank you! I'm actually hoping to get down to 150 seeing as just about everyone who has the surgery will regain a small amount of weight. But I'll be so happy just to be 199 pounds again :P How are you doing??

your welcome, its so sad when we stay in the shame and guilt of our past, washed free is free indeed and when people are clearly stuck in that darkness, it breaks my heart. They need the light of the Lord to shine bright in those lies, and break free from the chains that want to keep them there. But God girl.... But God!

Thank you I'm a work in progress. I'm 2.5 years post op. I can eat more so it's imperative I make good choices and exercise. I'm sure you are doing great as well. You should chart your progress in pics I found it to be very motivating.

Im doing ok so far. My eating is ok..I stop as soon as I get that feeling of fullness. The only thing I struggle with is when I eat I feel like I have gas bubbles trying to come up the sametime my food is going down. I need to get more exercise in as well..

One year mark!

by Davis165 on 09-26-2016 at 03:13 AM
I'm waiting for Payitforward to correct me on this! It has been almost 12 wonderful months since I underwent a surgery that forever changed my life. I have as of this date 09/26/2016 lost 137 pounds, 12 of those are from the two week diet pre surgery. So 125 pounds in a year, give or take a few days to a week. I haven't reached onederland, as of yet, but I'm working VERY hard to get to and maintain my goal. Do I know what my goal is? Well, it says 165 on my ticket, but who knows what it'll

Got a compliment ..kind of.

by Davis165 on 04-10-2016 at 05:32 PM
I was at work the other night, just about to go on my break when the patient I was with noticed me getting all of my things ready for break. I walk during my breaks and was getting my phone out, for music and my headphones. The patient asked me if I was going to exercise, to which I said yes. They said how much weight did I want to lose. I said about 80 pounds. They looked at me and said, I doubt that you have 80 pounds to lose, maybe 50, more like 40. Now, to someone else their comment may have

Fainting anyone??

by Davis165 on 03-21-2016 at 03:44 AM
My surgery, recovery and in general, life post-op, has been good. Until recently. I fainted at work about a week ago. I had been feeling a bit odd at work and needed to sit down or I knew that I may fall down. I knew something just wasn't right. That happened earlier in that week. Later in that same week I experienced the same sensations, yet didn't have the opportunity to sit and rest/regroup. All I remember is saying that I needed to sit down and then waking up on the floor! I was so confused,

Going to the gym...with this body.

by Davis165 on 01-05-2016 at 10:21 AM
I am fortunate enough to have an opportunity to join a rather nice gym, it's connected to the school that I'm attending. The only draw back is the view I have of myself. The facility is very nice and I am so thrilled to be able to go. It is right next to my job, making it easy to get my workout done right after work, which is great! My issue is walking into the gym and just generally being there with other people who have zero body image issues. I feel like the biggest person in the place!! It is

The head games have started!!

by Davis165 on 12-14-2015 at 11:18 PM
I'm now 79 days or two and a little over half a month out from surgery. My loss is at 60 lbs now and I'm pleased with that. What I've come against now are the munchie mind games. I'm realizing that the head games are a beast to defeat..they are able to be taken down, I know, but the battle is messy and real. What brought me to this decision to have surgery was the fact that my weight was careening out of control. I was mindlessly eating copious amounts of food. I NEVER want to go back there!! So,
