    Hi Bev, congratulations on your great success!! I'm sure there are others, but yours is the first post I've seen about having a hernia repair at the same time as the sleeve. My husband did the same on 10-19. His hernia was the size of an overdue 9 month preg woman. How was it directly post-op? Trouble getting down protein, water? My husband is having a terrible time and I'm concerned he will end up back in the hospital due to weakness and dehydration. Any suggestions?

    Well yesterday I had my first acupuncture tx. I felt less numbness in my feet this morning. I have diabetic neuropathy. Also I spoke to the person ( I don't know what you would title them as, but he administered the needles,and they did not hurt one bit.) about insomia and ambien. He said ambien is really bad and that I would have to be weaned off of it. I am going to belive God and claim healing. I stopped smoking cold turkey years ago, never had any withdrawal. Well just wanted to share. luv 2 everyone

    I have had insomnia for years. Today was a crying day. I didn't go to work due to rain and pain. I sat on the pity pot because of my many illnesses and cried and prayed. Did u have surgery?

    Insomnia.....my husband and I take a sip of childrens liquid benedryl right before we go to bed.....works wonders!!!! No drowsiness when we wake up.

    My foot doctor is going to decompress some of my nerves when he removes the spurs.

    Girl, I have the hands, feet, and have had 2 heel surgeries on each foot.

    Hi bev, I too have neuropathy in my hands and feet. Also have spurs, alot, in my feet. I have had acupuncture in the past....for weight loss...lol...funny, guess it didn't work for me. Won't say that it doesn't for others. Everyone's body is different.

    I would try it to see if it helps. My foot doctor has other plans for that after I lose some lbs. PM me if have any questions....a limit on characters here I think.

    Can anyone give me info on acupuncture and neuropathy. I am beginning to experience numbness in rt leg beginning at the toes. Anyone else?

Unfortunately, there is no way we get notified of those posts unless we think to go there and read them, so don't feel like everyone has neglected you! Once you post in the Group or respond to a post in the Group, you can go to the top of the post and there is a Discussion Tool you can use to request notification on that post. Its kind of confusing but you'll figure it out...anyway...WELCOME!!!!! When are you having your surgery? Will you be able to meet up with all of us in Vegas in May?

    I wish i had an answer about the insomnia. I never had it before and i do now since the sleeve. I can't imagine why that would make a difference, but i'm thinking of getting Ambien!

    If you get any feedback, will you please post it?

    Hey everyone, it is great to have a group for us youngsters. Anyway, i would like to know if anyone has advice or a remedy for insomnia. I have been on ambien for years , i know i am addicted. I am sick and tired of it and just want to sleep naturally. I have a very active job and i am scared not to get a night's sleep by kicking cold turkey. Also have sleep apnea. How long does it take after surgery for sleep apnea goes away?
