OK girlie. .. here we are on the other side. I hope your surgery went well. I am 4.5 hours since I woke up in recovery, on 1 Oz of water per hour and I've already walked twice. Pain isn't unbearable but only "Lortab" for pain. Good luck to us buddy

This may be a dumb question,but I am not a frequent not having flown in over 8 years. If I take the dry powder protein packs to put in water while on the plane will they go through security in my carry on at the airport? I'll be on the liquid diet so will need something during my flight...what did y'all do?

Well I had a successful lap band removal yesterday. I was in at 10am and home by 2pm same day, but then I'm only 30 min from the hospital. He did 4 different incisions sites with the longer and larger close to my port site on the left side. I have not taken any thing but two aleve for the minimal pain I've had. The best thing is he will most likely use the same incision sites to do my sleeve surgery this fall. I am so ready.
What I keep hearing from my family and friends is, we've never seen you small, you've always looked this way and you are not that big, why now a sleeve at 59? I'm 5'4" and weighed yesterday at the hospital 212lbs. I am about 80-100 pounds overweight. Why can they not see that? My boys keep saying, but Mom you have always been a this size, like they won't know how to relate to me being less? That's some crazy messed up stuff right there! I have a son who is is obese too and on a cpap. I'm hoping after he sees me lose the weight we can also get him sleeved as well. I just wish yesterday's surgery had been the sleeve, but then I get a few months reprieve from getting stuck on the first few bites of every meal I have eaten for the past 7 1/2 years!!
