I was a bit nervous having my surgery in West LA .. as a result of my paperwork being lost in the Southbay Medical center but it was a blessing. Dr.Kim is a excellent Dr it felt like everything went so fast and I went home the very next day. I believe the key for it to be as successful as possible is to be prepared you have a kid so obviously you know about recovery moving a little slow and so forth .. just have your liquid protein ready but move as much as you can find comfortable clothing ... make sure you have someone pick up your meds when you check out to me the west la location felt huge because Im from Long Beach and our Kaiser is tiny ...any questions you have just ask ...

I was on clear liquids for a week, full liquids for another week, puree'd foods for a week, soft foods for a week and then slowly moved on to regular foods while still including the previous foods into my daily food intake. Just don't get ahead of yourself. Take small sips and then small bites. Don't be in a big hurry to eat whatever you want.
