That's great ur feeling good. Sounds like u had it easier like I did. which is awesome. I too only had a little gas pain but walking helped with that and the liquid loritab and holding my stomach while I walked helped with incision pain. Again, glad to hear all Is good. be careful going home. If u need Any help or advice just ask. Crystal

Thanks! I am feeling pretty good so far. Dr G. came to see me last night and this AM and was impressed with how I was doing. I've been VERY lucky that I didn't have the issues that some of the other people on the floor did; there were 2 women who went to Dr. Kim and neither was able to keep anything down for 2 days. And Forest Park does take excellent care of you! The only issues I've had so far is the gas pain yesterday, which finally went away today. The other is that when I walk the incisions hurt from moving up and down, so I wrapped them with an ACE bandage with the nurse's permission. I walked 2 miles of hallways yesterday trying to get the gas pain out. Today I walked 1.5 miles (.5 was on a treadmill at the hotel).
I see Dr G tomorrow am and then fly home on Saturday. I can't wait to get home to my dogs. :-)

I still get hungry, but not like before - but about the time dinner (soup for me!) is coming up, I'm ready to eat the soup... and sometime yesterday I actually started wanting "real food" like I cannot wait until next week, maybe because I've been on some sort of liquid for 20+ days now... but not like man, I'm STARVING... more like oh I'm hungry, I need to eat... and then I have my soup and I'm good.

I'm on full liquids and I too was worried about dehyration, I just sip water all day.... Monday I move to soft foods, cannot wait!

Thats good. Thats what worried me. Scared I would get dehydrated. So r u still on clear liquids or did u move to full liquids yet?

Nope no problems with liquids at all!

Feeling great, caught a cold but just about over it... down 18 pounds!
