Ok so me and some friends went out to Red Lobster last night. I was soooo terrified considering it's been 15 days since my surgery and 19 lbs down. Now prior to the surgery, this would be my typical meal at the RL:
Strawberry Daq or Mudslide milshake
Appetizer: Fried calamari and vegetables
Caesar Salad (something to pick over until my meal comes)
Cheese bread (always requested a side of butter to add to my bread)
Ultimate Feast (lobster tail, crablegs,

No, I'm not talking about Weight Watchers (got some of you laughing!). I'm talking about the scale thingy you see at the bottom of our posts that shows your starting weight along with how much weight you have lost. Well everytime I go to enter my weight (with one decimal), it cuts off the decimal value when I save. So one day I could be 282.9 and the next day I be 282.1. To me that's worth running around in circles in the bathroom butt naked (yeah, you do it too!). But the thingy will show the

I don't know if I'm surpised or crazy that I just had surgery last Thursday and today I am back to work. Let me preface all this by saying I do have a lazy job. I am a software developer so I sit at a desk behind 3 computer screens and well that's all the energy I spend. Only reason it's like this is because if I don't work - I don't get paid (the life of a contractor). Ok so here goes...
It was hard getting up this moring (as all mornings) but this time was different. I was

I know some folks frown upon having surgery in Mexico but I can attest that this has been the most professional, courtesy, friendly, caring environment. Having said all that...it's now time for me to cross back over the border this morning and head back to San Diego to rest for a day and eventually fly back to Virginia. I feel like its a new dawn for me. Most of you know what I'm talking about. To give an example on my flight over to the west cost, I spent most of my time worrying about fitting

This is the first time blogging since I had my surgery. It was rough-going the first night because I was uncomfortable, some pain, extremely sleepy, and just not a happy camper at the moment. But I can honestly say that once you get past the 24-48 hours after surgery, the rest is starting to fall into place. I can shower, walk, talk, sip on soup, and other minor task that seemed almost impossible right after the surgery. I have to admit the down side is I seem to have constant reflux (up and
