Hi, nice to hear from you! I have done pretty well with the soft foods when I was home, but unfortunately I had to travel to Boston for a conference and I am having a tough time following my diet, portions and liquid intake. I find that I eat and then the next thing I know I am stuffed and nauseated..Uggh. Been here for a week tomorrow, will finally get to go home and get back on my program, can't wait. How are you doing? I haven't weighed, waiting for my one month f/u appt, but I can tell that I have from my clothes.

Let me know how you get on with soft food. I have another week then progress to purée / thicker soups. Can't say I am missing food but am missing wine. And gin!
I have become an avid viewer of cooking programmes on tv but not to salivate over food but to think about what I am going to cook for myself. I've decided that as I cannot eat a lot I will eat the best foods that I can

Happy to hear from you and that things are going good for you. I'm 2 weeks today and will be able to start soft foods tomorrow, excited, not sure of my weight today, decided to only weigh when I go to my follow-up appts because I have a tendency to get scale obsessed, I had lost 18 lbs when I had my appt last week, everyone tells me they can tell I have lost weight. Hi Toni, looks like your getting close to surgery, wanted to wish you well. I'm 6 days pre-op now and I feel like I'm doing pretty good. Haven't lost much weight yet, but everyone tells me to be patient it will happen. I'm getting my fluids in, my doc wants 2 oz liquid protein on the hour and 1 to 2 oz of other sugar free liquid every 15 minutes which seems overwhelming at times but I'm doing it and I think its keeping me hydrated and my strength up. Anyway just want to send support your way!!
