  1. well -following up. Things are great. Back in September and October, found out I had c.diff tha tthey did not diagnose/ Was miserably ill for the first 8 weeks post op. Once I got better from the c.diff (and trust me, you never, ever want to experience that) I started to feel lreally good. I am down about 117 pounds now on my way to my goal weight of 225 by summer of 2013. Can't believe the energy I have and how good it feels to be shopping for clothes that fit because I need SMALLER sizes.
  2. just checking in - I am anemic so am on supplements but I am shrinking like a raisin in the sun. I am still stumped in terms of food - nothing tastes good (developed thrush as a result of the antibiotic after surgery) and am presently on medicine for that. Have not been eating much at all. Tonight I am going to try some malt-o-meal and see how that goes down. In terms of the tale of the tape - I am down almost 50 pounds from August 3 and it feels great to just fit in smaller clothes.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your decision to have the gastric sleeve.

I have a few suggestions. For a clear protein, I suggest Protica Profect 50. It is a whopping 50 grams of protein in a 3.2 oz vial Protica - Detail

For a really great tasting protein powder, I suggest Max Protein. You can purchase at GNC or online. SEI Pharmaceuticals

To keep track of your calorie intake and measurements and weight. FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal This is really useful when you think you've stalled on your weight loss. You can look at what you actually measure!

This blog - theworldaccordingtoeggface She posts some great recipe's and suggestions.

I was on clear liquids for a week, full liquids for another week, puree'd foods for a week, soft foods for a week and then slowly moved on to regular foods while still including the previous foods into my daily food intake. Just don't get ahead of yourself. Take small sips and then small bites. Don't be in a big hurry to eat whatever you want.

In the forum check out this section for suggestions: Gastric Sleeve Diet, Recipes, and Nutrition
Keep a positive attitude and you will do great!
