I'm flying out 3/31, surgery the 1st. Super excited, but since I started pre-op Monday and it all became real. Pre-op is going well, & that gave me a boost that my body is still willing to lose weight.

Hello! Yes, I had a band by Dr. Ariel Ortiz in 2008. Since he has become so world renowned his prices have skyrocketed. That is the reason that I went with Dr. Almanza. I have done much research. For the revision it is 4999 however since I am paying in cash (-200) and am going with a "buddy" (-200) I am paying 4599. I believe that Dr. Ortiz was going to charge us 8500. I am very comfortable in my decision. Yes, Dr. Almanza has left Jerusalem Hospital and now is using HMN hospital (I think for a year now). I asked one of the coordinators at weightlossagents.com about the number of surgeries he does in a day and how that worried me. She reassured me I guess! So far, on this site there are only two of us listed to get our surgery that day...obviously everyone does not use this site...but I am hopeful that our date is a light day!
