I'm getting my normal pings of anxiety, but I keep thinking to myself, by this time next week, we will be sleeved and on our way to a lighter healthier life! I can't wait! Thoughts of my surgery and the trip consume me! I'm trying to stay busy and keep myself focused on everything else I have to do between now and then in order to keep myself from getting nervous. So, you were sleeved before and are getting it redone? Or going from band to sleeve?

The earliest I can go would be April 4th. If I don't do it that week it will be more like the 2nd week in July.

Thank you. Keep me updated on how it goes. I'd love to feel great about going with Dr. Almanza for 5000. I will definitely be looking and researching him further. I could afford that now instead of waiting 6 months to a year to save the other 4-6000 including air. I'd like to stay in San Diego a few extra days and kind of make a mini vacation out of it, even though I won't be too functional. I know that if I have plans I will get up and move more instead of laying around healing. I really remember the gas pain and it was definitely a factor. I know that the more I was moving the better it felt.

I just read that you are getting a revision from band to sleeve. I too am looking into it in Mexico. What besides price made you choose your doctor. What hospital does he operate out of? I know someone that had their sleeve put in by him a year ago, but she said he was out of a stipmall type of surgery center. She had good results, but it was interesting to hear her recount and the number of patients he went through in a day. I think I read that he is affiliated with a hospital now. I was looking at Dr Ariel Ortiz, but it was 9000 and that seemed a little steep for Mexico. How much is it to have Armada do you surgery?

I got my passport in one week!!! When reading these posts you will find good and bad about all doctors. You just have to have faith. My husband won't be going as we farm/ranch and spring arriving makes it too busy! Pasture burning should be in full swing by then!
