I am 7 weeks post -op today and physically, mentally and literally I feel awesome. I am 42 years old and feel like I am 27 and this decision saved my life and got me off of HBP, type 2 diabetes meds , cholesterol and a cpap machine for sleep apnea and now all my ailments are completely gone and I maintain excellent vitals as I check my self at home because I have all the equipment from days past to do so. I have been going to the gym as well faithfully when my surgeon gave me full clearance with

I am 4 weeks out and hit a stall for the past week and a half and I had joined Planet Fitness and have gone 4 times in the past 7 days. I bike and run an average of 5 miles on cardio machines on those days along with lifting weights and although I am at my real eating stage now and pretty much off protein shakes and I do feel pretty full quick from eating anything still. I was wondering if I eventually will be able to tolerate a little more food intake overtime because I am concerned if I am getting

Is it normal for most to be tired of protien shake and clear liquids by two weeks out? I am dying to try real food now although of course healthy stuff is on my mind when I see it due to the fact my wife is cooking extremely healthy and I ultimately want to stay on track. I am also sure I want to splurge futher down the road and maybe have boneless buffalo wings or maybe a homemade burger without the bun or an occasional slice of pizza, but my point is my manual says 3 weeks protien shakes and clear

5 days post-op for me, and I was just wondering for those that are out there and fully recovered to eat solids. Is it fair to say that at any given moment roughly the size of a subway 6 inch sub is the greatest portion size you could consume with veggies on it and no double meat? I am only trying to get a perspective visually what the sleeve can hold and by all means I dont mean specifcally a six inch subway sub but any portion size serving of anything that size per sitting? Think of maybe 1 pint

Is it mandatory to at least do something within a couple of days leading up to my surgery day? I just asked today of my bariatric coordinator Rn and she was very brief by just saying continue my regular routine and just practice smaller portions and switch to decaf and start pulling away from carbonated drinks. My main question is do I have to not eat any more solids a couple of days before surgery and maybe just do protien shakes like 2 or 3 days before surgery day?
