So I had my first visit with my surgeon today. And now I'm a little confused!!! He says I am an ideal candidate and sees no reason not to proceed. I am thrilled to hear it. My only problem is that he says he recommends the gastric bypass over the sleeve for my situation. He feels that I would get better longterm and better immediate results form the bypass. I'm still in the pre-op stage and still doing some investigative research. I was just wondering if anyone has used Weight Watchers post surgery? Would I be able to use it as a tool for acurately tracking my protein intake?

I'm just curious. I'm in the beginning stages of getting sleeved and am soooo looking forward to it. My husband, who's BMI is only slightly higher than mine, seems to think that he will loose weight too after I get sleeved. Has anyone else seen that happen? I would love it if that happened for him.

Looking for anyone pre or post op in Hall or Gwinnett county Ga that can give me any info on surgeons in this area. I want to find the right doctor, someone I can trust and preferably won't drag everything out for a year before we get to an actual surgery date. But I have no idea how to go about finding someone. I tried the good old fashioned Goggle method but all I seem to find are self serving ads. I would like to hear from people that have actually been patients that can give me their honest

So I am definitely one of those "Not a Morning Person" kind of people. My six year old won't even approach me until I've had my first cup of coffee. (And by "cup" I mean 20 oz travel mug.) On top of that, me and Dr. Pepper have been having a love affair for more than half my life. I've read that I will have to give up caffeine after my sleeve surgery, but I've read on some of these blogs that coffee in the morning is ok in moderation. Once I get past the withdrawal headaches
