    Hi Barbara, Thanks for accepting my friend request. I am from Dallas TX and is schedule to have a Revision on 4/14. My Pre op starts on 3/31 and I am very anxious to start and nervous once it gets closer to the surgery date.

    Hello everyone,

    Today is my first post since I first joined Jan. 16th. I joined this site to learn about the high's and low's of surgery and so far a lot of my questions have been answered along with some fears laid to rest.

    I waited to post any messages because I wanted to be scheduled for surgery before posting, giving input and asking questions.

    My surgery has been scheduled for April 28th, 2015 and I'm so excited but very nervous! I can't wait to join the sleeved side...thank you for this wonderful forum...everyone wish me luck!

Good morning all,

I am preparing for my Blood Typing and Screening Test? Can any one give insight on how and what is done? How many vials of blood is taken and why? What are they looking for? Is this routine due to surgery in case of a necessary emergency blood transfusion?

I don't like needles and this terrifies me!!!! I'm already reluctant to having the surgery because of my own fears?

Has anyone gotten this screening and had to post pone surgery?
