Morning, actually I do still feel restriction depending on the types of food that I consume. Protein still makes me fuller faster, but "junk" which I sometimes fall back into the habit of eating, goes down way too easily. I am careful about types of food that I consume on a daily basis and am still pretty rigid, however; the weekends do me in sometimes and I find myself losing the 3-6 pounds that I continually gain when I'm not so careful about planning foods. I will weight myself daily to maintain my accountability and that seems to help. Maintenance is no picnic, but it's worth it and I just try to take it one day at a time. Old habits will do any of us at any time and the winter in NJ doesn't help at all.

    Continued success!

hey lady!!! you look amazing!!! I'm disgusted with myself though. still haven't lost the baby weight & max just turned 2!!!! I have fallen off the wagon & got ran over by it lol. Just can't seem to get back on track at all. before I got pregnant with him I was a size 6 & now I'm a 14. Still haven't gotten back to the gym but I'm hoping to soon. My older son (14) wanta to go w/ me so I'm hoping we can help keep each other accountable. I think my problem is I've become too complacent & just don't care anymore. any tips? Hope you & yours had a nice Thanksgiving!!! Take care & ttys. Michele

You look great! Thanks for the encouragement!
  10. Hello all! I'm approaching my 2 year mark post sleeve and doing great! I have maintained 130lbs for months. I reached my goal of 145 by the 8mo mark. I continued to loose and was worried about loosing too much. I went to 125lbs before finally stopping and slowly climbing to 130. I'm thankful for the sleeve. It has made my life so much better.

Gee thanks! I've only weighed below 180 once in my whole life and that was in my first semester of college, when I was drinking a lot of booze and not eating! lol I was at that wt for just a minute, though. If I can get to 180, I'll be a happy camper!
  12. Almost at the 2 year mark and maintaining at 130. Still would like to get to my goal of 145. The journey has been worth every step.

Hello!!! Good to hear from you. I hope all is good in your world.

I have leveled out between 185 and 190 lbs, weight stays in that range. Not much change there since last fall. Wearing size 32" pants and medium shirt and underwear, which is AWESOME! No more having to shop in the"big men's" section for cloths! But I do lament not being able to wear my Harley Davidson cloths, having to buy all new leather pants, shirts, jackets, etc. I have like $3000 worth of very high end motorcycle cloths I can not wear. Oh well.

    How are you doing?

About Aydensmomma
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I am a mom, I have a 7 yr old son named Ayden...that's where my member name came from....creative, right? I have a 12 yr old daughter Rachael and a 18 yr old step daughter, Liz. I have been overweight most of my life. I remember going to the doctor at 14 years old and being almost 200lbs. My mom was disgusted, she didn't say it but I knew she was. When I was 17 I had school and a full time job, and with little time to snack I lost 70 lbs. I maintained my weight of 150 until I got pregnant when I was 21. I ate for 2, and then some. I gave birth at 220lbs. It took 2 years of diet and exercise and I got my weight down to 130lbs. Maintained that weight until i was 27 and pregnant with my son. I didn't gain as much as my I did with my daughter. I was 180lbs when I left the hospital with my son. In the months following I gained weight. I was diagnosed with post pardum depression and PCOS. I dieted and exercised, I'd loose 10lbs and gain back 15lbs. It's discouraging to do all the work and not get results. My weight climbed up to 255lbs I had a toddler who I couldn't really play with because I couldn't get down on the floor, a 6yr old girl who I couldn't ride bikes with. I was self conscious. Crabby, my back and knees always hurt. I didn't want to go anywhere, I was always dripping with sweat, even sitting still. My clothes consisted of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and a pair of jeans. I always made sure there was always ice cream in my freezer and caramel chocolates in my purse.
In April 2014 I ran into a friend who was my size the last time I saw her, she looked great. She lost all the excess weight, and felt great. She told me about the sleeve. That day I started my research and spoke to my husband and told him I wanted to do the sleeve. It was an embarrassing conversation but I'm glad we had it. He agreed to help me out along the way. That day I made my 1st appointment with my surgeon. After 6mo of seeing a dietician and following her diet I lost 8 pounds. Again, discouraging, but if I could loose the weight with diet and exercise (like I had in the past) I wouldn't be getting sleeved. After getting my psych, cardiovascular and pulmonary clearance I was scheduled for surgery 12/30/14. Happy New years!
Surgery went well, but due to the anastasia I was vomiting for 48 hours.
Fast Forward 1 year
Lost 127lbs was size 18/20 pants and now I am size 2
I was 1x or 2x tops, now I'm S or XS
lost a total of 51.5 inches!!

19 months out
I think I'm finally maintaining at 129 pounds.
Still wearing size 2 and small/XS
I love shopping now, I love getting dressed up and looking as good as I feel. I can run around with my kids and dog and not break a sweat. Pre-op I had a migraine 2x a week, now I get them maybe 2x a month, if that. My back and knees no longer hurt. I can squat down and get up easily. I can fit in small places, I can ride all the rides at the amusement park, I can cross my legs comfortably.

Hey all!! I haven't posted in a long time! I see a lot of new faces and a lot of people starting this life changing journey. CONGRATS EVERYONE!
I was sleeved about 3.5 years ago. I was 255lbs on the day of surgery. I lost weight really fast. I can't remember exact times but I think after 18mo I got down to 123lbs, at 5'7" I was super skinny, pics in my profile.
I needed to gain. Before gaining I was happy at 150, so I set my goal at 145. I needed to gain 20lbs (never had that

this doesn't relate to the sleeve...

by Aydensmomma on 02-22-2018 at 07:51 AM
hey all! This doesn't relate exactly to the sleeve but if your outside exercising in the northeast watch out for ticks.
yesterday was 70 here and so I was out in the garden, nothing is growing but their are leaves to move etc
this morning I woke up and my left leg had a spot that feels like a deep cut/bruise. I felt a lump, went into the bathroom and had a little freakout when I saw the tick. a deer tick. last year was bad but I wasn't expecting to find ticks in February
So

It's been a while....

by Aydensmomma on 09-19-2017 at 11:19 AM
Hi! It's been a long time since I've been here so I'm going to introduce myself and tell my story. So on December 30th 2014 I was sleeved. Because of issues with anesthesia I vomited the first 48hrs. I spent new years in the hospital and went home January 2nd or 3rd. My highest weight was 255. I had PCOS and after my son was born i went into post partum depression. Food became something I turned to, looked forward to. Ate whatever, whenever.
If you want to read about my story check out

Bad teeth

by Aydensmomma on 01-10-2017 at 10:51 AM
I always brushed and flossed. I went to the dentist 2x a year like I was supposed to. Then I lost insurance and didn't go to the dentist for 2 years, but I cared for my teeth. All was good, but in the past year my teeth seem to have been deteriorating. As I write this I'm sitting at the dentist office. I have 2 broken teeth, one that has been a 8/10 on a pain scale these past few days. I also have had teeth pulled, and a crown on one. Can't sleep becasue my whole head is throbbing. The only major

♡ worst heart burn ever!!

by Aydensmomma on 01-10-2017 at 10:45 AM
Hi all! Been a while since I have visited, life has certainly kept me busy. I just had my 2 year anniversary from being sleeved on December 30th. I can't believe it's been 2 years already, the changes are amazing.
When I had the endoscopy I was told I had a hiatal hernia. I didn't know much about it, doc said not to worry about it.
Well, after being sleeved and getting on this site I learned that a hiatal hernia is common with weight gain, and a lot of surgeons remove the hernia when
