Just stopping by to say *Thank You* for the friend add!
  2. Thanks for the compliment! It's been a slow weight loss journey for me compared to how fast you lost, but the health benefits will be worth it. Congratulations on your progress.

Thanks for the message i do feel its good u till i start comparing lol before i would diet hard core and lose two pounds in 3 weeks and give up completly! Now its weekly i just know my goals are much more then some have to lose and dont want to stop untill i get there a 200lb goal to lose is a lot! I could do bettee but its so so hard! I was a 24-26 ( jeans ) a 24 fits perfect now 22 maybe 15 more pounds lol
  5. I am the thrift store Diva. I own Ann Klein, Chico's, Ralph Lauren, Liz Clairborne, Karen Scott, Express, all courtesy of my local Salvation Army Store. I have a gorgeous wardrobe for pennies on the dollar. I am amazed at what I can find. When you are a smaller size it is so easy to find these bargains. I even buy great dress pants, sun dresses, maxi dresses. The only thing I can't find is jeans. Very hard finding great jeans that look good at thrift. I sold all my plus size clothing on FB at my towns plus size for women Face book page. I am working at staying at 145 because I don't want to lose my clothes. It's amazing how when you are thin you can feel those 2-3 lbs instantly. At 260, I could lose or gain 10 and never felt a thing. I love shopping especially when I spend so little!! Try it, its a great pick me up.

OMG! Im going to check that show out! Should be pretty funny, thanks much. Hope your doing well, keeping fingers crossed for the lottery
  7. Damn, you look awesome. I can only imagine how thin you must be in person. But that's not the real reason we do this anyway. I love being able to bend over, shave my legs, touch my toes, tie my shoes, and play with my grandkids. Looking better is a great bonus. I'm a size 6 and I worry about gaining weight. I do track. I have such a great wardrobe, I would not want to grow out of my clothes. I hear a lot of people gain back about 10-20lbs. Ugh.....

Doesn't seem to be gluten related. Bread of any kind is no prob. Fat is another story. Happens about once per month. No gallstones. Nothing obvious in colon. It's okay as long as I manage my fat intake so I guess that's what I'll do. I may drop into a lower maintenance range but I can stand to drop 10 and say healthy. Probably not much more.

Gallbladder is all good. Now I get to do the colonoscopy next week :-(. I'm 6 months shy of 50 so they'd do it then anyway. Need to figure out what has my tummy all "touchy" these days. Went 2 years with nearly no problems. Weird.

MEN!!! They drive me/us soon darn crazy(UGH!!!). Mines keeps saying "yuck" when I undress cause my thigh as so jelly like. Girl, I'm so happy about the weight lost, not even sure how it came off so quickly but it appears I'm still losing a little every week. If stopped exercising because I'm scared I'll lost too much and I don't want that. I have put red meat and other items back in my diet whereas before the surgery I had completely stopped eating things like that for fear of a GOUT flare up. Since the surgery and I the clear to eat, I'm been eating almost everything...I know not good. Going to see the nutristionist next week to get back on track hopefully. Any who, thanks for the compliments I'm only striving to be like you You were and have been my inspiration for a long time. I remember having a few break downs and you were there! I can never repay you for keeping me going, wish you lived closer so we could get together but in the meantime I'll just keep in touch here Thank you lady

Hi! Max is doing great! He's 2 months already & nursing Luke a champ! I however am struggling w/ my weight & eating. Haven't really lost any baby weight because I've fallen back into old food habits-ice cream donuts etc. plus I'm not exercising. All I do is nurse, eat & sleep it seems. If I don't have somewhere to be I don't leave my house I rationalize it by telling myself he needs the calories in the breast milk but it's a lie. I really need to get back on track soon before I go back to work in April. I think I stretched my sleeve during pregnancy because now I can eat 1 1/2-2 c at a time in an hour depending on what it is. I'm just really frustrated & disappointed w/ myself. Ialso I'm having some postpartum hair loss & im getting my tubes tied on the 24. So I'm worried abt that. Sorry to unleash my pity party on you. How are you doing?? Thanks for checking on me & I'll try to keep in touch on here more often! to you!!!!

LMOA! Its me, maybe my math is off...I'm not 135 but 150 now. I started the program weighing 245lbs then by survey time was 235-230. Im happy with the 150b and would be upset if it dropped lower although I feel I should keep going in case it changing directions before the year. I've tried to upload a picture but having some problems. Going to try again tonight, you look so awesome, to go from size 22 to a 2 AMAZING! Years ago I too wore a 22 but got to a 16 which is where I started now wearing a 8. Like you my boobs are so small, which is why I'm mad I had that breast reduction 10 years ago! For me my ass hurts, the tail bone especailly! I have to sit on a pillow most days as that how much it hurts. I'm trying to do a piece of candy/cookie /etc the good thing is you can only eat so much but I'm still trying which frustrates me. But I'm keep working on this and me Let me try to get this picture uploaded talk to you soon!
  15. Thanks for your words! I came here searching for support, unfortunately I'm not getting that at home. I am married and have 2 kids. My marriage was really rocky last year, I even filed for divorce but we ended up working it out. We still have issues, anyhow, for my surgery I made up a work trip to Mexico. Where I had my sleeve done, a friend drove me there and picked me up afterwards. I know it was wrong of me to do it but I felt he would try to talk me out of it. I was worried he'd be concerned because of the cost so I even took out a personal loan to pay for it.
When I got home I was in so much pain, I had to tell him. He was so mad, even to this day he refuses to talk about it. I understand I cannot expect any sympathy from him not expect his support so I am really in this on my own which has made it ten times harder.
I am stronger than what I thought though and I know this will all be worth it, I did for me, for my health.
I am staying very optimistic and not letting any negative thoughts into my head!!
I think I've said too much lol

About Aydensmomma
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I am a mom, I have an 8 yr old son named Ayden...that's where my member name came from....creative, right? I have a 14 yr old daughter Rachael and a 20 yr old step daughter, Liz. I have been overweight most of my life. I remember going to the doctor at 14 years old and being almost 200lbs. My mom was disgusted, she didn't say it but I knew she was. When I was 17 I had school and a full time job, and with little time to snack I lost 70 lbs. I maintained my weight of 150 until I got pregnant when I was 21. I ate for 2, and then some. I gave birth at 220lbs. It took 2 years of diet and exercise and I got my weight down to 130lbs. Maintained that weight until i was 27 and pregnant with my son. I didn't gain as much as my I did with my daughter. I was 180lbs when I left the hospital with my son. In the months following I gained weight. I was diagnosed with post pardum depression and PCOS. I dieted and exercised, I'd loose 10lbs and gain back 15lbs. It's discouraging to do all the work and not get results. My weight climbed up to 255lbs I had a toddler who I couldn't really play with because I couldn't get down on the floor, a 6yr old girl who I couldn't ride bikes with. I was self conscious. Crabby, my back and knees always hurt. I didn't want to go anywhere, I was always dripping with sweat, even sitting still. My clothes consisted of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and a pair of jeans. I always made sure there was always ice cream in my freezer and caramel chocolates in my purse.
In April 2014 I ran into a friend who was my size the last time I saw her, she looked great. She lost all the excess weight, and felt great. She told me about the sleeve. That day I started my research and spoke to my husband and told him I wanted to do the sleeve. It was an embarrassing conversation but I'm glad we had it. He agreed to help me out along the way. That day I made my 1st appointment with my surgeon. After 6mo of seeing a dietician and following her diet I lost 8 pounds. Again, discouraging, but if I could loose the weight with diet and exercise (like I had in the past) I wouldn't be getting sleeved. After getting my psych, cardiovascular and pulmonary clearance I was scheduled for surgery 12/30/14. Happy New years!
Surgery went well, but due to the anastasia I was vomiting for 48 hours.
Fast Forward 1 year
Lost 127lbs was size 18/20 pants and now I am size 2
I was 1x or 2x tops, now I'm S or XS
lost a total of 51.5 inches!!

19 months out
I think I'm finally maintaining at 129 pounds.
Still wearing size 2 and small/XS
I love shopping now, I love getting dressed up and looking as good as I feel. I can run around with my kids and dog and not break a sweat. Pre-op I had a migraine 2x a week, now I get them maybe 2x a month, if that. My back and knees no longer hurt. I can squat down and get up easily. I can fit in small places, I can ride all the rides at the amusement park, I can cross my legs comfortably.

Getting birth control removed today!!

by Aydensmomma on 05-29-2020 at 08:55 AM
Hey all!
So about 2 weeks ago I called my doctor and told her the list of problems I have been having since October, when I recieved Nexplanon, which is an IUD placed in the arm. Supposed to good for 5 years, I read some facts they all sounded good. Well, fast forward to right now. I am up 25lbs, and no I haven't changed my diet. And it baffles me because all through the sleeve process it's been calories in vs calories out but somehow I gained 25lbs on 1200-1400 cal a day intake. I have the

Hi everyone!!

by Aydensmomma on 04-09-2020 at 10:11 AM
Wow it is so quiet on this forum!! I've been checking in and reading posts but haven't posted anything in a long time.
I hope everyone is doing well. This coronavirus is no joke. I have heard of the "quarantine 15" where you gain 15lbs because your stuck home. That doesn't have to be the case. I know when I'm bored I tend to want to munch, so I try to keep busy. I paint/decorate bird houses, work in the garden etc. Now I'm a 3rd grade teacher too (my 9th grader doesn't need my help)

It's a great idea to take a picture of yourself the day of your surgery and then using the same clothes and doing the same pose take a pic every 2 weeks. (Or 1 or 4, whatever you want)
Sometimes people say "oh look at you! You lost weight and you look great!" but some of us might not see it because we see ourselves everyday. Comparing pictures is a great way to see the changes, if you ever stall or feel discouraged the pictures might make you feel better.
I also suggest

Hi!
I hope everyone is doing good!
Its great to see so many people taking control of their lives and getting the surgery. One of the best decisions I have ever made. It's been over 4 years now. It's crazy when I go back and think about the beginning. The worst memory's I have were the hair loss, long thick hair turned to thread. The smell, I had such BO, bad breath and stinky pee during ketosis. Deodorant, showers and poo porri handled it. Oh and the irregularity when it came to the

4 years later

by Aydensmomma on 01-08-2019 at 09:02 AM
Wow. 4 years!
It's been way too long since I've been on here so for those of you who don't know me, Hi! I'm Teri. I started the process in May 2014. Luckily all I had to pay for was my nuitrionist. Insurance did the rest.
My BMI was right at 40. I was 255lbs at 5'7"
I went in on December 30th 2014 with the hope of waking up skinny (not really, but it would be nice) instead I had the pleasure of waking up feeling like my stomach was moving around in a painful way and vomiting
