Hi Mellowjoy, everything went very well. I am doing well, I believe on my post-op diet. Just received the additional items I could have added to my menu TODAY in time to start week 3. So happy about that! I was only following what they had on my instructions from Tijuana. :- (

Hello Ole friend, its been a long time hope this email finds you doing well. The weight loss is coming along nicely, still having stomach issues as I found out that I have Hplora so trying to get assistance with that. The weight is dropping in places I wish it wouldn't (chest/butt) but are we ever happy-lop? Anywho slowly but surely, got to get back it as I haven't been doing things like I should, for instance the protein shakes, exercising, etc. Any suggestions? Really means a lot that you reached out to me, hadn't been on where in awhile, thought I would check and their you were. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Beautiful, how you doing...thank you for the well wishes. Please tell me that you were as nervous as me. Did you start doubting your decision, like me? I'm toying with whether to do sleeve or full bypass based on the conversation I had at my doctors support group. However think I'm just a nervous tick and can't think clearly at all.

Thats such a blessing, you must as special as you look Glad your experience was a good one, continued blessing and success to you. I'm patiently awaiting the decision from my insurance company for approval. Can't wait to cross over to the sleeved side, and get started on the healthily side of life. Take care...

Hi there-I've been reading some of your post, and just noticed you had surgery here recently. How you coming along since surgery? Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery.

Hi Mellowjoy, Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am disabled with MS and poverty doesn't help. I live alone and have no car. Since I can barely walk I think finding a way to get rid of the weight will help me to keep walking. Listen, God didn't make us fat! Imperfection makes it easy for us to develop unhealthy habits. The world of processed food and sedentary lifestyles didn't help. We have to love ourselves before we can love out neighbor. Stay sweet forever!

I am actually doing very well with the preop diet. It has not been as bad as I thought it would be. But then again, this is only my fourth day. I have been questioning my decision as well. Been thinking am I doing the right thing. When I read your message, you summed it up in a nut shell. I have altered the body that God gave me in a way that has dishonored him. I have not treated my body as a temple. I have filled it up with such unhealthy foods, snacks, sodas, etc. Which has caused me not to be the best that I can be in honor of my father. So like you, I am at peace with my decision to regain my life and health. I want to feel good about the way I look and feel again. Thanks for you encouragement.
  9. I'm a week past my surgery date and I feel wonderful. My Dr said my surgery was perfect and I've has only one minor issue with nausea. I'm getting in 64 oz's of fluid and meeting my protein requirement of 65g's per day. I had 3 hours of nausea which was difficult. Nausea doesn't feel the same with the sleeve so I suffered a little longer than needed. Once I realized what it was I put on the anti-nausea patch and was fine within the hour. I'm not having any pain, I'm sleeping well, and I'm surprised I'm feeling so good. I'm on the full liquid post surgery diet and I'm not having any issues with sticking to it. I figured my surgeon did his part to do my surgery well, I need to do my part and follow the rules.
