Take a look at my posts which can be accessed on this page. Look for a subject line in any post that has the word "stall" in it and you'll find me preaching. I am convinced that stalls can be busted at will, and with a little tweaking, can be avoided all together. The genesis of my theory lies in cravings. A craving is your body's way of ordering room service. If you don't deliver, then it'll think you are starving it and will shut down all non essential functions until the problem is solved. Your metabolism is one of the first fuel saving measures that get ramped back. So, if you have a craving for pizza, it's not the pizza your body wants, it some component in the pizza. You body knows it has a better chance of getting what it needs if it asks for it in a form that gives you pleasure. Lots of dissenting opinions out there. One thing I know for certain, once I figured this out, I never stalled again and lost more weight in the last 4 months than I did in the first 8. It really disappoints me when folks are willing to wait out stalls. They do it because they are told to. In my very humble opinion, you do not have to wait out a stall and furthermore, you don't have to have them at all. Good Luck to you!

Hi I'm newly sleeved and I had a similar BMI to you. I'm day 6 should I be concerned I've only lost 10lbs. I started at 204 preop and I'm 194. I'm a revision from lap band so I want to make sure I'm doing everything right and I'm on track thanks again

Thank you so much for all of your feedback! I'm curious to see if my health insurance will cover the surgery since I don't really have any health issues yet despite having such a high BMI. I think I'll try Auburn first simply because its about 30-45mins away vs the hr drive with toll booths to and from Rochester. I don't smoke or drink either. I do however eat a large amount of food and drink soda. And drink a couple of cups of coffee a day. I'm very dedicated to become healthy again for myself and my baby.

Welcome! It's nice to come across someone who's in the same area as myself! I actually went to Dr. O'Malley's 2hr seminar back in the summer of 2013, but soon found out that I was pregnant with my son :P what was the process like? I'm thinking about going to Auburn for the surgery, because it's a little closer than Rochester.
