I suggest getting a trainer and joining a gym, you HAVE to use free weights and build as much muscle as you can AND KEEP IT. Your body will not let you build to much, you are female, you will not get muscular, but it will help you burn calories and you will be much healthier. ONe problem with this surgery is people get "skinny fat", meaning they have a low percentage of muscle.

Get a really, really good trainer, one who is hard core about food, work outs, etc. I figure 95% of trainers are faking it. A good one will cost more, spend the money, you only need 10 or 20 sessions and you will have a gym whipped.

The other thing, as you lose a lot of weight if you do not want to tell someone you had surgery, you can use the gym as an excuse. I tell folks I got really serious about gym, and my doc is helping me with weight loss. If it is someone who cares about me I will disclose more, but most I prefer not to disclose to much.

That is the best advice I can give, I am 22 lbs down, losing about 1 pound every 2 days, I am happy, sleep well, having fun, back 100% at work, etc. My skin is sagging a bit, I can see that will be a problem later, but its okay. Good problem to have.

    Hope this helps.

No, the 80 lbs is more for my tracking. I am down 22 lbs in 22 days. The other 58 was from my highest weight.

I am 3 weeks out, not long time, so the memories are fresh. Week one sucked, it just did. I hurt from the larger incision, had trouble sleeping, etc. That lasted one week. Get one of those body wrap things for hernia surgery, it saved me a TON of pain.

The next two weeks I was physically fine, I was going to gym 5 days a week with trainer, and 3 days fast walk on treadmill. I was taking it easy, and still am, no abs, nothing that really works my core. Next week I will be back 100%.

THe hard part week 2 and 3 was adjusting my thinking, I kept wanting to eat because of head hunger. I spent countless hours researching "healthy food". I bought stuff, but then could not eat it.

Couple days ago something broke, I do not care about food. Ate some egg salad today, that and protein drinks, and IsoPure drinks, and I am good to go. The appetite is gone, my trainer is making me eat, so I do to appease her. (We are very close so I give her a LOT of control over my life).
