About mamsinator
- Sleeved or not sleeved:
- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I have been married for 43 years and have two wonderful grown children.
I worked as a medical assistant for years. Then the last 10 years I worked as a secretary in my husbands company.
We were able to fulfill our dreams and moved out to the country 15 years ago. We have been remodeling this old house for the longest time. We do love it here.
We love to travel and have been lucky enought to do a lot of it.
We also love dogs and cats. We usually have two of each but we're down to one little shitzu that found us. He is great and very portable. I had a Newfloundland dog who weighed 240 lbs. He died about a year ago. I loved him dearly, but at our age it's not practicle to get another one.
Where we live there are so many beautiful bike trails. After I have my surgery I hope we will be able to ride alot.
We also want to take dance lessons again.
My sweet daughter-in-law told me about this site and this surgery. She had it not long after she married my son. She is doing great. This site is a wealth of information.
I will post again when I get my surgery date.- soon I hope

I started on Friday with the liquid diet. Not so bad the first day. By Saturday I was hungry and crabby and just wanted to bite something!
I am not much for sweets so the protein shakes aren't very appealing when I am hungry. i finally got some cream of chicken soup and that was good and filling.
I saw on someone else's post that you can mix tomatoe soup with some ricotta cheese. That was really good.
I tried the Unjury chicken soup powder and it wasn't too bad.

I see my surgeon tomorrow - the last time till surgery. I am not sure what he is going to do.
Thursday I go for Pre-admission testing and a class. Friday I start the liquid diet.
A lot of my excitement has changed over to nervousness. I am sure I will be glad when it's over and I start maiking progress.

After many calls back and forth between Insurance and my Dr. - I have my date!
May the 4th. I will do 10 days of liquid diet then clear liquid the day before.
I started all this process by going to and informational meeting in Dec. Everything has moved ahead nicely. I guess i should be grateful for my Medicare/Anthum Insurance.
I am kind of a slow starter, or getting a late start- but you know the old saying- better late than never.
I look foreword to finally putting
