That's great news on the BP meds. I am off one of mine and hope to be off another soon. 40lbs is a great number. Wish I could say the same. I'm down about 25 but I just started working out again so I expect things to pick back up. I also started solids a couple weeks ago and that slowed things down a bit. I am so glad my band is gone. I can actually keep food down now. The sleeve would have been a much better option but it was not widely available in 2003. I did lose 110lbs with the band but it all came back over the course of 5 years because I could not eat right. Since I can eat correctly now I feel this will be better for long term success. Cheers!

Hey....how is you post-surgery plan going? Are you on full solids yet?

Hey...glad to hear you are well. I was released on 7/16. Had to stay an extra day due to a bad reaction to the morphine.
Pain wise I am doing great. My blood pressure won't get back under control, though. Working with the doc to get it figured out but otherwise I am happy. Ready to start trying soft liquids.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I'm doing great! 30 hours after surgery and I'm already back at home, sitting on the couch and sipping some Crystal lite mix. I look forward to hearing about all of your successes too!

Thanks! I'm glad it went well too! Hehe. I'm still healing and am sore and swollen and have had fun with gas the last couple of days, but things are getting better. The whole thing is still freaky to me, but I know it's the right thing, I just have to be patient! I hope your surgery goes safely and perfect on Thursday!!!! GOOD LUCK!

Me too on the nerves. I don't remember being this nervous for my Lap-Band back in 2003. Trying to stay busy to keep my mind on other things. Are you in the North Texas area? Hope to keep in touch since it will be good to compare notes with another guy post surgery.
