Biography:

I am a 30 year old single mother of 2 Beautiful children. I started my weight loss journey in 09/2013 with the hopes of being able to get sleeved because of my health issues. I started this entire journey at 420 pounds and only being 5'4". My turning point when i decided to begin this hourney was when i had a horrendous break down after not fitting in to the biggest size available in my scrubs, shortly after falling asleep at the wheel due to sleep apnea and wrecking my car. I made a decision that my life needed to change. I will admit when i started i took diet pills and supplements. But the most success came from calorie counting, walking and cutting out all the cokes and unhealthy snacks. I decided to get sleeved and started the process in 03/2014. I had my psych eval, EKG, PFT and ive done a 6 month supervised weight loss program. I just as of 10/21/2014 completed my requirements to have the authorization request for surgery submitted to my health insurance. Here i am anxiously waiting for a response. I am looking forward to the positive outcome that i am sure will come after i am sleeved. I am hoping and praying that the sleep apnea will cease as well as other health issues that have come from my obesity. I am so glad that i found this site. I see so much motivation and support going around here.
