How did your appointment go? How's things, you are officially what like 3 months out?

It went really well, I'm officially like 12-13 days out now and feeling pretty great! A little tired of liquids but it's a small price to pay. And yes, Ricardo was my driver, he was great! I also had an awesome coordinator, Veronica. How are you doing?

Hi Terry. Its about 3 weeks til my surgery with Dr. Camelo Ramos. Just curious if you have had any problems with your aftercare since its been awhile since your surgery? Did Dr. Camelo talk to you about the size of your stomach after surgery and how fast you would lose. I hope I don't have alot of plateaus along the way.

I am good..stalled for a month..losing again. Learning small portions. Works better to split a meal eating out.

I totally forgot to update my surgery date. I initially wanted to do it today to incorporate a holiday weekend, but after thinking about it some I realized I shouldn't do it now because of my grad school class so I am going in between sessions and have a March 3 date. So a little more than 2 weeks away! How are you feeling?

I found out later that my doctors vary the length of prediet depending on starting bmi...so they will tell you directly when you have booked what you need to do. Ricardo will meet you if you fly into San Diego airport. He is very nice; speaks English well and it a very caring individual. He will be your chauffer...also you will be assigned a case worker who makes sure you understand everything happening and helps coordinate your meds after etc. Each staff person has a job and they do it well. There is always a doctor assigned to your floor so you can get assistance asap. If you need anything, longest wait was 3 minutes...incredible. They have a strategy that is well run. I totally missed this, how did it go? So just a diet 3 days before? Wow! The other place that I was looking at had a 2 week diet. I am waiting for my financial assistance to come through. I should be able to get that cleared up by the end of the month and then looking at scheduling for Feb. 11th if all goes well. Plese tell me all about it in detail!

Thanks! I'm good so far..i can't believe how excellent the staff was..I always felt like a number in the US instead of a person here..amazing. Trying to get liquids consistant now...about to move out of hospital..how are you doing?
PS my daughter in law had C section at exact time of my surgery..weird..

Waiting for my surgery to begin...my son and his wife are delivering my first grandchild at same time...she is dilated to 9 and I am due to go in any minute... She is 12 days early!!! Guess I will have two special moments at once...ps I had to come clean with my kids about my surgery...hadn't told them yet.. But went fine anyway. Maybe I should change my name to grandma at surgery!!! It's kept me distracted though
