Hi actually I eat quite a bit and especially since my surgeon told me I need to eat more protein. 3 premier brand protein shakes a day. Work out at least three days a week. Lots of yoplait Lite greek yogurt( has lots of protein in it), cottage cheese, string cheese, but also fruits and veges too for the fiber. Usually A salad for lunch with lot good stuff like ham or turkey, red beans, cheese, seeds, carrots ect. Eat normal meal with the family at dinner. You do need some fat to keep your gallbladder going just fyi. Good luck

I am in S.A. as well. Keep walking it will help with the gas. Glad to hear you are doing well. I am 3.5 months in with 57 lbs down.
  4. Hello my fellow San Antonian, so far so good. I was scared as well with all my medical problems but it out weighed the bad. I knew it was going to be a challenge. I though of it as a life saver. You'll be okay. I felt hardly any pain, just a lot of gas but that too has slowed down. I'm starting my week with the puree. So far so good.
  5. Hello rmcrinna! I too am from San Antonio and will be undergoing the surgery on 1Dec. Please let me know how your journey is going. I'm anxious and scared but know that this too is the right decision for me.

Just a little update, yesterday was my 1 month post op and I am very excitted! Started my highest weight at 354, at surgery was 336 and as of today 308 lbs and I feel great. was a 28-26 now at 24-22, and my feet have even gotten smaller was a 9 now an 8. It feels amazing even though I really cant see to much of a difference yet but I know changes are happening and I feel it. If I'm dreaming dont wake me up.

is it too much

by rmcrinna on 10-18-2014 at 10:33 PM
Okay so I've started to eat soups today and boy do I love them. In the puree stage. But I think I have a problem cause I can eat a whole can. Yes, I'm full after I ate it but is it bad that I can eat the whole can? I'm afraid to gain weight seems like my hunger has came back. Today I ate two cans of soup and two eggs with no problem. Is this normal or am I over doing it?...... worried!

I'm confused

by rmcrinna on 10-15-2014 at 09:01 PM
I'm so confused?? I've been reading several posts on here and everyone's diet post op is different. I'm 8 days post op and feel great lost about 12 lbs since surgery. My doctor has me on two weeks of just liquids, than two weeks of puree, than two weeks of soft foods. I want to start puree's already. I think about food all the time just want to take a bite of something. Today I ate some jello and ohh boy i ate too fast feels as though stuck in my chest. I really have to get used to my new tummy.
