Ok, I am one week post-op. And oh what a journey. - I'll tell about that later. I have a question for all of you. I have been on clear liquids and protein shakes. Other than the first day, I have no problems gettin in my liquids, in fact I would love to eat. I'm afraid I might be eating/drinking too much. I hate to say that because I know many can't keep things down or have problems meeting their goals. But for example: last night I was so hungry, I drank the broth of a med bowl of egg drop soup.

Well, I'm on my way to the airport. Having surgery tomorrow! Like everyone who has gone through this I have mixed emotions. I'm excited to start this new chapter in my life but also worried about traveling to Mexico and having surgery! Worried about leaving kids. My older ones know what I'm doing and they are worried for me! Getting ready to start my pre-op diet! Yeah! My instructions say to have protein shakes LOW in sugar and carbs. I'm kinda hung up on specifics, sorry, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for this. I bought slim fast protein shakes - I think they are like 20 g protein, 4 carbs, and 2g sugar. Do you think these are ok? If not, recommendations would be great!

Would like some advice on protein shakes. Any recommendations? All I was told was high protein, low carb and low sugar. Anyone know how much protein, carbs, and sugars is recommended?
