Hi Kristy, I'm in Athens and have the same surgery date as you (different doctor). I saw your post about what to pack for the trip, someone had made a thorough list in 2012. I can't remember how I stumbled across it and can't find it again, of course. But, here are a few things I wrote down that I had not thought of:

Gas X strips and heating pad,
Chapstick,
Extension cord,
Safety pins for the drain tube, and
Sippy cup. To help during slowly.

My husband laughed at me but I'm taking a Sippy cup just in case. I have also heard people suggest a visa gift card instead of using a credit or debit card.

Anyway, that's my list, Sippy cup and all. good luck! You will be on my mind the day of the sugery.
