  1. I haven't checked in for a while. Hit a plateau, and wasn't losing much. I think I'm over that now, and although I wasn't losing pounds, I was losing inches!
Don't give up the fight just because you aren't losing as much as you did at the beginning!! Get off your butt, and go for a walk, or bike ride, or whatever it is you do! Instead of driving, yes driving the 3 blocks to the bank, I am now walking.
Oh, and when you decide you have lost enough weight to get back on the horse, remember what goes up, can come down! Fast...chriro, here I come. Get me better to get going again!! LOL
  2. 2 weeks out and doing well. Did my last shot this morning, hallelujah!! (to avoid blood clots)
On Monday, I went in to my pre surgery weight loss group, (they called to see how I was doing) and weighed in. -12 lbs! Happy! Met Mom at the mall and walked with her. Got a twinge in my knee, and haven't hardly walked in 4 days. Not been a happy camper. Went to the chiro yesterday, iced it last night, and heading out for a walk after this post.
I've been doing ok on the continuing liquid diet. cheated a bit with something That wasn't on the list, and felt guilty enough to confess to the hubster.
Favorite dinner: scrambled eggs cooked in boiling chicken stock. Lots of flavor, little fat! Most of the stock cooks off, and I drain the rest. Been using egg beaters, and its way easier to measure ounces with.
The hubster has turned into my Protein nazi,(with my full approval) and has been keeping me hydrated and on my protein min/max. (Which is why I was up til 10 last night finishing my drink.)
Living life, keeping it quiet. Not looking forward to getting back, and doing all the lunch and dinner meetings. Fortunately I know most of the local restaurant owners, and am going to talk to them next week about adding menu items for bariatric customers. Might as well start local. I will let you all know what happens. Wish me luck. Maybe we can get to the point where we don't have to be nervous about going out with family.

New Whey Liquid Protein! YUMMMM COUPON CODE

by Whirleygirl on 01-09-2015 at 03:24 PM
OK, so I was recommended this high protein supplement from my nurse at my doctors office. It is called NEW WHEY LIQUID PROTEIN. They have several flavors. My favorites are Acai Berry and Grape. The also have Fruit Punch, Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, Orange, and Green Apple.
Wal-Mart has been my easiest source to purchase these (fruit punch and blue raspberry is all they are carrying now), and the costs run $2.50 to $3.50 EACH depending on where you can find them.
My 2 favorite flavors

Losing Inches now!!

by Whirleygirl on 09-28-2014 at 01:23 AM
My clothes are getting baggie! Yay! My friend found a post on a local FB sale page for a boatload of clothes a size or two smaller than I wear. Met with the lady, and found out she had bariatric surgery 3 months ago! I now at least have some transition clothes to get me through the next couple of months. And we are going to keep in touch, maybe start a local support group. By the time I get to wear these, I will sneak up, and raid Moms closet for sweats and coats! LOL. Since so many friends and

Down 24 total since my surgery!

by Whirleygirl on 09-24-2014 at 11:30 PM
Finally get to use my Wii Fit! Loving it, and making the hubster do yoga with me, LOL. Found out today skipping meals...NOT GOOD! Even though I had been drinking a proti, I hadn't had any yogurt or 'food' until 2. Still ate lightly, but I felt almost like a minor 'dump' ugh. NOT FUN! Lesson learned.

3 1/2 weeks out.

by Whirleygirl on 09-22-2014 at 10:16 AM
Still losing. That's good, right? I'm still doing ok. Back to work (part time) and coming home and napping, LOL
I have been setting mini goals for myself. My most recent success was losing enough to be able to FINALLY get on my Wii Fit! When I got it for Christmas 2 years ago, there was nothing on it to tell me a weight limit. Well I am now below that, and have used it successfully since last week!!! It has breathing exercises, yoga, aerobics, (not quite ready for that) and some balance
