Biography:

I was born and bred in Washington, D.C, and have
spent nearly my entire life in this area. I have a
Bachelor of Science in Management from Southeastern
University, and a Masters of Science in Computer
Science.
I began my professional career in 1990 by the
Office of Personnel Management, through the Scholastic
Contracting Internship Program. Soon thereafter, I
began a rotation in the contracting and production
divisions. This was an extremely valuable experience,
as I obtained on-the-job know-how, and gained an
appreciation for the practices and protocols in the
procurement arena. Once I completed the internship, I
was hired full-time as a Contract Specialist. At this
time, I also embarked on my graduate studies.
In my current position as Procurement
Analyst/Contracting Officer, I have a broad range of
responsibilities, which include contract management
and administration, contract negotiation, project
management, and risk management. I am a lead in
negotiations to modify current contracts, ensuring
compliance with organaizational rules and regulations.
This involves changing technical requirements, making
price adjustments, negotiating new schedules, as well
as executing numerous other functions.
