I have been on a weekly support group for 6 months along with monthly NUT meeting. I have to finish my required exercise classes, I have 3 to go, I have had blood tests and EKG and met with my surgeon twice. All that and I have only lost 8 pounds! I am hoping to be approved by my group and then it is waiting on the insurance approval. What scares me the most is not being approved. I am a Tyle 2 daibetic, have high blood pressure, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I have never seen such a process. Hoping to have surgery in June sometime. Wish me luck!

Steve! Thank you, again, for recommending Dr. Pleatman. Everything went swimmingly, and I was so impressed with his office, and St. Joseph's Hospital. I am four weeks out today, and I'm 43.9 pounds down from the pre-op diet until now. I'm still struggling to get in enough calories and protein in, but I figure this is pretty normal in the first month. I just keep at it! I'm going back there on Feburary 2nd for my follow-up, and hope he will be pleased with my progress.
