Just checking-in on you. How are you? Did you get your make over?

Thank you so much for the nice comments. I highly recommend getting the sleeve, you'll love it!! I feel like it keeps me in check, when I'm trying not to be. We had a big party yesterday for my mother-in-law and I probably would have eaten more if I didn't have my sleeve!! It's definitely a great tool!! Good luck in your journey!! Keep in touch, this sight is amazing!!
  3. Hi there! Thanks for the message. I'm feeling pretty good just got home lastnight. Mexico was wonderful!!

Each day gets easier. I just never thought eating and drinking would be a hard thing to do. I know as time goes on it will get better it is just tough to be in the this moment. Thank you for your words of encouragement. It is so very much appreciated.

I feel some difference. I feel my hip bones lol. I'm still taking it easy so I'm only doing very light activity even though I feel I can do more. I week postop, I don't want to chance it.
  8. I am feeling fine & my doc has put me on solid foods. Can't eat but about 3 to 4 bites, but I make every bite count. I eat 6 times a day, get my protein in and drink water, plus walk 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day. Thanks for asking!

I guess I posted in the wrong spot. I'm still learning this site. Boy, it's been tough this past week. Im not going to lie this presurgery liquid diet stinks, I'm determined to stick with it though. I'm 7 days away before being sleeved!!!! I'm excited, scared, overwhelmed you name it and I'm just that. In the end it will all be worth it. How about you?? How far are you into being sleeved?

I'm all over the place emotionally. I'm nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time. LOL! Right now I'm so sick of this liquid diet phase I could scream. Anybody who says this is easy obviously never had to endure it. But it will be so worth it in the end. How are you coming along?

Absolutely. I'm happy to help however I can.

Thanks, that little baby is my world. I have been blessed with three beautiful daughters and a wonderful and beautiful wife.

I think fitness is so big with the sleeve. Losing the weight allows you to get out more and getting out and doing things help you drop weight and keep it off.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. I have read some of the stuff you have written and I remember being at that stage. You can always ask me anything.

Be mindful of little ears **Tear warning**

by Journey Tobeme on 10-07-2014 at 09:27 AM
I found this letter recently on-line. When I read it, I realized some of the things I would say could hurt someone I love. I now keep weight loss comments away from the ears of my grandchildren and other children. Be mindful of little ears.

Dear Mom,
I was 7 when I discovered that you were fat, ugly, and horrible. Up until that point I had believed that you were beautiful—in every sense of the word. I remember flicking through old photo albums and staring at pictures of you

Some of the foods I eat

by Journey Tobeme on 10-06-2014 at 09:37 AM
Today for lunch I am eating a modified version of this. I say modified because I do not use agave and I cut down the sweetners a bit.

For dinner last night I made this again I modified for me. I don't eat cheese unless it is vegan (made from nut milks) but I completely left it off last night.

This is dinner tonight. The noodles are made from zucchini. You can also make them from carrots or squash. I am making this soup to go with it. The leftovers will become meals

250 card

by Journey Tobeme on 09-25-2014 at 03:52 PM
Remember I said I was making cards for each pound I lose? Here is the card I picked to represent the scale saying 250.

Now before anyone says anything about my card project focusing solely on weight loss....yes it does. Yes I know I scream daily that this path (**see side note**) I am on is not about weight loss. But it is the easiest measurement and quite honestly I am not very creative so it was what I had. Deal with it. I am still not focused on the weight. It is what's on the cards

He won't recognize me...Please cut out my heart now...

by Journey Tobeme on 09-23-2014 at 03:06 PM
Yesterday I got a heir (oops hair) cut. It was a drastic cut taking my hair from near my waistband of my jeans to above my shoulders. I could rattle off 50 reasons but the biggest is I wanted a change I could control so I lost control and chose a cut so radically different. But the haircut really isn't the big thing in this story.

I picked up my grandson afterwards. He is almost 9. He lives with me most of the time. His father (my son) is a underwater welder. As wonderful as our state,
