    Thanks Laura.

The image is from an exhibit I saw called "Body Worlds". They use polymers within volunteer cadavers to preserve their bodies.
It is really fascinating to see the inside of the human body and all of its splendor. Here's their link:

Hi, I'm new here and I'm looking for support.
  10. Had my EGD today getting closer and more excited. Spoke with a lady today who has lost 140lbs she says she would do it again in a heart beat. Still initial po days scare me. I am only taking 10 days off work and I hope to be ready to go. . Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving

Yes I am. Its not scheduled yet. But I have been approved.
  14. I am doing very well. Its only been 2 months, but feels a lot longer. I am finally able to eat a little more, which is a good thing. Still battling with getting enough fluids daily. I had a flu like bug for 2 weeks that really set me back. I was so nauseous, couldn't tell if it was the sleeve or the virus. I am down 46 lbs and am starting to look like the person I remember. So much fun getting into clothes I had stored away for safe keeping. I hope you are well. I am on this forum almost daily. Good for motivation.

January 8th was my 6 month surgiversary!!

by llburbach on 01-17-2015 at 06:01 PM
WOW!! It has been a ride but well worth it. I hit my six month mark and feel great. I didn't get the protein I should have and experienced the massive hair loss. I am hoping it will start growing back soon. I just cut my hair shorter to make it look fuller. Haha

I continually receive compliments on how I look which is very nice. I often forget what I look like until I see a picture or catch myself in the mirror. It has been an amazing transformation and journey so far. I now know

Happy Holidays!!

Peace on Earth
Forty-six years ago, on Christmas Eve 1968, the entire world listened as three men read from the book of Genesis. Though the words were familiar to many, they held special meaning that night. The men reading the words had just, for the first time in history, traveled far enough away from the Earth to see the entire planet at once. As Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders looked back at the Earth from their spacecraft orbiting the Moon, they saw a magnificent blue and white

Ideal Conditions!

by llburbach on 12-03-2014 at 01:31 AM
The ideal conditions for living your life are the conditions that exist right here and now. So go ahead, go for it, live and give and enjoy.
If you wait for things to be perfect, you’ll waste the precious opportunities of this moment. By all means aim for perfection, and remember that the only way to reach it is by being in motion.
Live fully by living now, and with every now that you get. Let the desire for perfection inspire you, but don’t let it stop you.

Thankful and Appreciative

Being Thankful & Appreciative
Taking the time to express appreciation is one of the most positive things you can do. It’s a big boost for the other person – people love to know that they’re appreciated. It’s a great feeling for you, too.
And there’s no better way to encourage people to do their best, than to let them know you appreciate what they’re doing.
Beyond showing appreciation for other people, it’s important to cultivate a general attitude

Ten Ways to Make it a Great Day!

1. Do something for someone else, something unexpected, out of a sincere desire to help, with no expectation of anything in return.
2. Tackle a challenge that has been hanging over your head for a long time.
3. Try something new – a new food, a new route home, a new book, a new store.
4. Enjoy a few moments of quiet solitude. Think about the things in your life that are most important to you.
