Hello thank you for friending me ..I see we have a few things in common .. Special needs teaching and NC I am not so often on this forum but if you write to me it comes up on my smart phone and I will try get back to you. When is your surgery? Or are you just finding out about it? I don't regret the surgery just I lost a friend who had this surgery so that was depressing. Mostly people do ok if they do their research get a good surgeon in a good hospital.i feel really good in myself I have never looked better or felt so alive. From being 247 pounds I am 164 I fluctuate between 161 and 164. That's fine by me currently on the treadmill trying to lose some more but I am happy as I am and my surgeons office tells me I don't need to lose any more weight. That's a good place to be. Good luck with everything and write anytime
    All the best Heather

Too much water?

by cmt8218 on 08-06-2014 at 05:47 PM
I had surgery July 31st. Currently I am getting between 40-50grams of protein per day but I have noticed I can drink A LOT of water. easily 80oz a day if I let myself. Is that an issue? I know we are supposed to take in 64oz of water but is there such a thing as too much? Can I stretch my sleeve doing that?

PS- I looked in the forums for the answer to this question before typing this and couldn't find it.

Have a great day!

Hey Everyone! I was officially sleeved July 31st, sent home the next evening!

I am currently loving my sleeve. I got all of my fluids in yesterday and I am on track to do it again today. My NUT says 40-60 grams of protein and yesterday I ended with 42.4. I am so happy to have gotten the requirements in on the first day home. I know it seems silly but I was really worried about not getting enough fluid.

I feel great and have not taken a lot of pain med so far however,

Hello everyone! I am preparing to have surgery July 31st with Dr. Yoo out of Duke. I was curious if anyone could give me any information about the post op diet Duke/ Dr. Yoo require you to follow? Or any tips in general.

The reason I am so uninformed with their process is as follows; I originally started my lapband journey with Dr. Johnson out of Carteret Surgical Associates. My insurance BCBS would not cover my surgery at the local hospital therefore I was schedule to go to Nash
