    Bring at least 16 gas x strips the more the better. The water in the FANCY motel is 100% ok to drink. Dont pack the pill crusher, they will give all meds via IV fluids until your last night. If you crush your antibiotics you will vomit!!! So So gross, just snap it in half and swallow it. I think we had 14 surgery on my day, my husband and I were at 1pm and then we were out of there at 7am. EVERYONE speaks plenty of english. Some women (not me) flat ironed hair and wore make the day after surgery. I also did NOT use a heating pad at all.

    tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my husband and I had surgury with Dr. Almanza. Today I feel pretty darn good and I am down 13 pounds since surgery. The first two days after surgery will be the worst. ps the chicken broth at the resturant is fantastic, and just go to the front desk for juice/jello stuff (don't wait for them to bring it to you).

So, yesterday I took my pre-op laxative. Well, let me tell you what an experience! I decided to take my laxative while I was at work... Why, because I wanted to be done before bedtime and the laxative I bought said, "gentle overnight relief", "works in 6-8 hours". So, at 1 p.m., at work mind you, I took the "gentle" laxative. By 3 p.m., a mere two hours after taking my gentle laxative I was bombarded with profuse sweating, nausea, and a horrible urge to relieve myself.

Tomorrow will be my first day on the preop diet. I'm excited about this entire journey and can't wait to begin. My plan is to follow the surgical outlines to a tee.
