I think you should be ok with 60%. Glad that he was able to perform the surgery and complete it. Your journey is never over You have to take it day by day, and make positive changes for your better you You look fantastic, the job is to stay that way. Ok, you had a hernia repair then. I had a hernia repair quite some time ago, but I want to get it fixed, because it left a knot on my stomach, not noticeable, but I can feel it.

The sleeve is treating me very well. No complications at all. The only side effect there is, is you can't eat alot of food lol! But thats a good thing for us. My weight has crept up slightly which is a good indication that I am finally getting in control of my weight. I was worried there for a while. I'm sitting at 180, a 4 pound increase. So I think I will rest at this weight if not a pound or 2 less. I look out for your new video. Stay in touch

Well it's day three and feeling great. He could only take 60 % of the stomach due to the lap band damage. He also cleaned up all the scar tissue from the lap band surgery done.

Not sure which type of hernias they were, but it was two big ones that he removed.

Hi Mercedes! Welcome to the sleeve side!!!!! Glad your surgery was a success!!! The scar from a tummy tuck is so big, I think that's the main reason I'm not in a hurry to get it. Thanks for sharing your weight loss videos. I love your voice!!! . I saw the part of your lap band that was a bulge on you stomach. I bet you will love it now. I noticed that you mentioned that the hernia is gone. Are you referring to the knot from a umbilical hernia repair? I have one near my belly button and it is annoying...

Wow..176 and still going. Congrats to you!!! I know that you guys don't wanna lose as much as us girls do..lol, but that's amazing!!! When I had the band in, I worked out for 2.5 years and my skin didn't tighten up fully on my stomach and back area, so I ended up having a full body lift in March, 2013. Since my boobs disappeared also, I had them fixed too..lol. Hopefully your body does go back naturally, as my scar is still healing and it's not a little scar..but still worth it. Hey Mercedes!!!! Tomorrow is the day! I didn't forget you! I'll say a prayer for you early in the morning for safe surgery and recovery. Your going to be extremely pleased with the gastric sleeve. Then you will disappear again hehe... I am getting worried about my sleeve. I am down to 176 pounds and I don't know how to make it stop lol... I've done the carb binge, to find out a few days later that I am down another pound. I think its more skin then anything else though.. My stomach is tightening up so well. My doctor was right, if you can hold out, more than likely, you don't need a tummy tuck. He told me to wait 2 years before I should consider that surgery. Let me know as soon as possible that your surgery was a success. I'm rooting for you!

Yes I need my tool back as my weight was going back on very easily and that was with working out. Can't live on liquids forever to lose and maintain my weight ...lol Wish they would of done the sleeve in the first place, instead of that silly band. When my band was taken out, I was 135. I am now 150. I want to be at 125-130 with out feeling like I am fighting the everyday challenge with food. If the band didn't do what it did, I would of been banded for life It was like my baby blanket of stress free living was taken away, and now I want it back. Just glad that I have that option at this point of my weight.

Yes I am very excited!!! Good thing I gained some weight before the liquid diet phase, as I have lost 14 pounds since I started. Probably doesn't help that I still work out and that I power washed my house for 8 hours yesterday. Lol. Thank you so much for the wishes. You are sweet ��

The major difference is the sleeve requires a liquid diet at the beginning so you don't stress your stitches on your stomach. Once you start solid foods, its pretty much the same, but maintenance free, and best of all, no unsightly bulges! You will love your sleeve more than the lap band. The sleeve will be very easy for you because of the experience you gained from the Lap Band.

I am a good girl when it comes to following rules under the knife . I am sure I will have lots of questions after as you are the third one to tell me that the lap band is different from the sleeve. As long as I get back to being full after a small meal, I am good with that. That's one thing good I can say about the band, it defiantly did it's job and taught me many lessons at the beginning. I wonder if the sleeve will be easy for me, as I know what the band did and that I know what I am kinda expecting going into it.

The sleeve will treat you well Remember to follow the pre-op diet and post-op diet. Your stomach will need to heal, and its not going to be like the lapband. Take good care of it, and it will take care of you... You are doing the right thing. If you ever need positive support or just a friend, look me up... I visited Vancouver a couple times up there, so modern, so cool, so multicultural.. The coast is awesome and had loads of fun in Whistler... That was in the days that Creo Americas existed. Since Kodak bought them out, I rarely get to go anymore...
