I cant believe it finally happened! The first surgery was scheduled in June but I failed a nicotine test so my surgery was cancelled until I gave them 6 months of clear nicotine blood tests. Now I've been smoke free for 8 months and today I got my sleeve done.

I went into surgery at around 12:45pm. Surgery was completed by around 2:30pm. My doctor said everything went perfectly. All nurses that have checked my incisions' say they look great.

I have received my date for surgery! It is July 30th! My date could however change depending on if I test positive for Nicotine or not. I go and get tested on the 16th I'm hoping it will be negative. I've been trying to quit for months but I've recently had a lapse that occurred last week when I started my pre op diet, which I'm not happy about but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and still trying.

I went to my first seminar on Wednesday. It was very helpful. I was told I have great insurance and my regular Doctor who referred me is very well known amongst the Bariatric team, If he says I'm having the surgery then I'm having it lol.

I learned pros and cons on the two different surgeries I could have. One of the possible cons that can occur was stomach leakage which I haven't seen anything about in the things I've read so that means I need to read more!
